Recommended by a homeschool curriculum for our Dialectic history studies, my kids did not like this book at all, nor did I. Very disjointed. Also, it is presented as a graphic novel which neither my kids nor I enjoyed, either. Instead we read the Charles and Mary Lamb version then watched the 1990 movie with Mel Gibson. My kids had plenty of other excellent books to spend their time on.

Well, I read it together with my sister, and I can't say that it was bad, but still, not that good to recommend to someone. It's better to choose something else, other adaptation or original writing

This book was supposed to be read by middle school age students, and was a graphic novel. However, it was HORRIBLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND. Definitely not written for children. It did, however, have all of the story line correctly laid out, it was just incredibly hard to understand. Personally, this is one of my least favorite Shakespeare plays, and I disliked it even more in this book, which made it confusing and difficult to understand what was going on.

A decent introduction to Hamlet for my 8th grader. Hopefully he will be able to dive into the real thing as an older student but this gives the essentials of the plot with some of the best of the original text. I liked the questions it brought up also.

I may assign this book to my students in the fall, so I will not comment here.
