Jason Thorn… My brother’s childhood friend.

Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy that made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time—he was the reason for them all. But, you only get to live in that fairytale world un

The original release date was supposed to be mid November, but because of some health issues in my family, I had to push back the date for a few weeks. I'm planning on announcing the exact release day on my FB page in a few days, but it will most likely be the first week of December.

me by SURPRISE 🥵🥵 I loved the plot of the book, it was lighthearted and funny as well. Some parts were a little bit too cheesy for me, and I did have an issue with some of the scenes (specifically the drunk scene, his sleeping scene & those friends at the e
I'm pretty sure there's a cute story in here, but I'm unwilling to put up with the extremely poor writing to find out for sure. The writing is very simplistic and the dialogue is stilted and awkward. I just can't.

ALSO -- Pet peeve: Look, if you're going to do a portion of your book with a first-person POV of a child, either commit to it or change it so that it's the narrator reminiscing about her childhood & telling the scenes as such. Don't give me some cutsey "I'm a 6-year old!" voice telling

“She was seeing me, and maybe for the first time, I was seeing her too.”

Olive wrote a romance novel inspired by her childhood crush on a boy named Jason Thorn. Well, now he's a hot movie actor who will star in a movie based on that exact book. They haven't seen each other in seven years and things get interesting when they meet again.

➦I listened to an audio book version of this and it was sexy and fun. Having Sebastian York as a narrator certainly didn't hurt *wink wink* :) The dial

”My dream boy. My childhood crush. My first love. My only love. And now my pretend husband.”

I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did. It started out cute then felt like it was going to be the typical same old, when the hero was presented being a typical manwhore in an alley in the present. However, somewhere along the way I fell in love with both main characters and started to really enjoy the story. I found the writing solid, sweet, and overall a good romantic read.

"You've been the best kind of heartache, Jason Thorn."

A love story about a Hollywood star and a romance author? Oh, hello my weak spots!

The blurb of To Love Jason Thorn was the one that got my attention. I love Hollywood romance, more so when it talks about hot, swoon-worthy actors who fall in love with ordinary women. Tropes like this are my undoing.

Olive Taylor and Jason Thorn have known each other since they were kids. Growing up, Olive developed an infatuation with Jason.

When you first read the premise you may think this will be a frecking masterpiece but don't fool yourself, this entire book is a disaster.

In the very first chapter, we get to see a six-year-old fall in love with her brother's best friend and even though in the following chapters we get to see a grown-up version of her, her six-year-old self still inhabits her body, the woman didn't change a bit, she's just more irritating because that kind of behaviour may be acceptable for a six-year-old

Well, this can be regarded as a cute, sweet, romantic and hot story but somewhere somehow I lost my interest in it. Mainly, I couldn't relate to the characters and maybe that is why, the story didn't affect my heart that much...

Firstly, I think I was annoyed with the hero, Jason, for losing touch with his best friend and the family who loved him dearly and I was never able to forgive him.

Secondly, when they met after so many years, our girl, Olive acted cold and distant towards Jason and she wa

This was one of the cheesiest books I have ever read. It plays out like a Disney Channel Movie and I am too grown for that shit.

There is zero chance that I would ever, ever, ever recommend this book to anyone.

If you want my advice, I say to keep it moving.

I think I deserve an award for reading through this. It took me so long to get through each chapter.

“You stole my little heart with just one dimple, you sneaky little thief. I never managed to fall out of love with you after that

Just for the record: "little one" was mentioned 48 times in this book & yes, I counted. It sounded so predatory so I had to affirm myself that Jason Thorn is not it.

Do you know why, as kids, grown-ups teach us to not judge a book by its cover? Because a book might be ugly outside, but being very beautiful on the inside.
Or, maybe, because one day you can find a book with an excellent cover and get shocked about how awful its inside is.

I’d have loved to say something like: “You can change the cover of a book, but not the audience it was created for”, but it was too harsh even for me.
I don't judge people who like these types of books, everyone has his genre a

okay so from this book i realised that authors have to get there husbands/boyfriend to help then write the smut scenes right?! PENALOPE DOUGLAS YOU KINKY LMAO WTF

i loved this book so much! it had everything i wanted but the drama at the end was just unessasary. Jason thorn is the man, he is the moment. I loved Olive so much too, but i was not expecting the smut with that cover. You see that, pink cute cartoon cover, what do you think? Butterflies and rainbows, but oh no its all hardcore smut and

Jason and Olive meet as kids and Olive falls for her brother's bestie hard. Her crush grows and grows until an event in her teen years where Jason breaks her heart. She pulls away from their friendship and they don't get the chance to repair it before Jason has to move away. Years later, they reunite and an attraction builds to more as they get to know eachother once again. I've got to say, as sexy as Jason was, he was not as easy to love as Adam was (Hero of book two... I read out of order). He ...more

I do adore Marriage for One. Unfortunately, I do not enjoy To Love Jason Thorn. I am confuse with what is the story supposes to be about. Forbidden romance, childhood crush, movie star romance??

I guess it stared with forbidden romance and childhood crush. I do enjoy the childhood crush moment. It was cute seeing Olive fallen in love with Jason. The story had a good promise.

Then towars the 50%, it started to lose its focus. And only filled with so much cheesy romance banter. I got bored. Especi
“ “I love you , Jason Thorne,” I admitted. I’ve loved you for a disturbingly long time.”

Was this book a little cheesy? Yes. But did I still like it? Also yes. I mean Jason and Olive are literally the sweetest couple, what’s not to like about them? I really liked the whole childhood to lovers trope in this, AND ALSO THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN OLIVE AND LUCY IS JUST AMAZING

But I will say, Jason confused me a ton in the middle of the book, mainly because when I was reading his POV it was just so confus

Wow the reading slump I'm in rn is so real.

I don't want to say this was bad because that feels very disingenuous, but I just wanted to like this so much more. Like when I had 1 hour left in the audiobook, I literally thought to myself "wait who's Olive". Olive is the main character. I think I should know that.

The biggest problem I had with this was that nothing happened that wasn't in the synopsis until about halfway through the book. I do love a good trope, but there needs to be some sort of

Another new to me author that I can't wait to read more of. Once again I picked up a book based on the cover and went into it blind. It was one of those feel good reads that had me from the start.

"This was our story from the very beginning, little one."

Olive Taylor is an indie author who has just written her first book. She's even talking to people about making it into a movie. This is all a bit exciting and overwhelming for her, but when they brought out actor who they wanted to cast as the le

Olive Taylor (which, by the way, is practically the cutest name I've ever heard) met Jason Thorn as her neighbor and brother's best friend when she was just six years old. It was love at first sight for sweet little Olive who gave Jason her whole heart in that way you only do for your first love. And so, when Jason shatters her heart as a teenager, it is complete emotional devastation for poor Olive.

Jason Thorn came from a troubled home. The kindness and care that the Taylors showed him meant mo

I acquired this on a chance and I don't regret it, though the steam was way outside my tolerance. Mostly this is because I liked Olivia so much. Her background doesn't really work terribly well, as developing a lasting crush at age six is a stretch (even if the author changes it to eight in later chapters). Okay, everything about her background doesn't really hang together terribly well. Best-selling author whose first novel gets picked up for a movie that isn't just optioned, but actually put i ...more

This is my first Ella Maise book. I’ll be honest, I was drawn by the cover. When I read “move star” in the premise, I was HOOKED.

If you are a fan of Hollywood Dirt and Love Unscripted, then To Love Jason Thorn is for you.

I'm on a Hollywood romance kick and just inhaled this one. Perfect old school indie goodness. Jason Thorn is book boyfriend gold, but I really loved Olive. I've read several books with an author heroine, but this is the first time someone has captured exactly what it felt/feels like for me. Yes, I'm in love with my characters!
