a brilliant piece of Urdu humor, I was bit reluctant of picking it because the previous one Hamaqatein did not inspire me much but I was in for a big and a pleasant surprise as right from the beginning (TUZK E NADIRI-mock travelogue by Nadir Shah) to "TAXILA SE PEHLE TAXILA KE BAAD" and to the ultimate laugh riot titled "JAHAZ BAAD SINDHI" (parody of Seven voyages of Sindbad) it is a must read though any body belonging to branded leftist movement might feel annoyed by Shafiqur Rehman digs at them and some feminists also due to the portrayal of women mostly as a materialistic nature or more bluntly gold diggers, however the last chapter "BARSATI" should not be there as it is a short story with a heavy theme- a mismatch for this collection of satirical essays.
