Do you fear being called racist more than anything?
Do you also fear actual self-improvement?
This helpful book contains soothing affirmations alongside smiling faces from people of color. Relax as they massage your guilt and fill you with undue confidence. You don't have to be an ally as long as you feel like one.
A brief humorous, satirical book with photos of faces and dialogue captions on the opposing page. Very funny. It's the combination of the close-ups with the "affirmations" that make the book. Read through it several times and cracked up every time. I rated it three stars, but the star rating is idiosyncratic and odd and should mean nothing to anyone but me, for how do I compare a book that's merely a few pictures and makes me laugh for three minutes with a book that has changed my life forever? The best of the best book to laugh at racial discord
This is a cute little book with illustrates the annoying things well meaning people mistakenly say or do when it comes to race/culture in a hilarious way. I wish it were longer because there's just so much that could've been included but hadn't been covered.
