Each chapter covers a different topic on Hawaii along with political cartoons & illustrations. The book was published in July, 1992 so many of the issues have changed so much, that the book is nearly worthless. It may be of interest to skim over for historical reference or research purposes. The political cartoons & graphics were interesting. I did find CH. 15 on Taxing Retirement Income, of interest. I am sure the laws have changed but it sparked my interest to do more research. CH. 30,"Native Hawaiian Claims", is still a hot button issue for Hawaii. Issues like expanding the airport or the addition of golf courses have long been decided, so those chapters are not going to remain anymore timeless than the local section of the newspaper (a what?- LOL).
