I have had this book in my stack to read for a while now and ever since I saw the cover with the cowboy, the baby & how right they looked I have wanted to dive into it.
Will Wilson is a former rodeo cowboy & known for his wild ways around town where he grew up. He is not a light sleeper by any means so he doesn’t wake in time to see who dropped off a baby girl on his front porch before 8 am one morning.
Will calls his friend Joe who happens to be the sheriff so they can find out who dropped off the baby that Will names Spring because he had been dreaming about it before his dog Boze woke him up.
Will & Joe go to the diner to have some breakfast & that’s where Will meets Daisy. (Not phoebe as the back of my book says) McGregor, who owns the diner and helps Will out since he knows nothing about babies not even what a diaper bag is or what its used for.
Daisy has already been married twice so she tells herself that she won’t fall for another cowboy like the past two. Of course that doesn’t happen, she falls for the cowboy and the baby.
Daisy makes Will go in and out the door to her place instead of the short cut. I thought it was so funny how she’d thought he was leaving the first night when she took Spring, but he didn’t and that was the first of many stays at each other’s place.
I was glad that the baby wasn’t some former lover of Will’s but his half-sister Sarah’s baby, his niece. The way the book ended was wonderful and I was happy to see that Daisy didn’t go for no other guy like she had thought about.
Protagonistas: Will Rogers "Billy" Wilson y Daisy McGregor Argumento:
