No me gustó nada.
Me la pasé leyendo en vertical prácticamente TODO el libro.

Read about 1/3 then skimmed the rest. Didn't care for the heroine, really hated the "hero" and thought the story was stupid. Both the hero and heroine are determined to "protect" themselves from love (due to past hurts), hero doesn't believe heroine but lusts for her, so he basically blackmails her into sleeping with him and posing as his fiancee. The author threw a few more cliches in there, but you get the picture. I enjoyed the other book of hers I've read (Wish You Were Here) but this one misses the mark.

I give this story a 3.5 stars just because the alpha male was a jerk who finally saw the light eventually. He thought everything was about him and how he felt about his life but I guess all macho men get shot down in the end. Jilly Skye was a much better person than Rory Kincaid but he thought she was too different for him. She always wore vintage clothes from her shop and she wanted the job of clearing out the costumes and vintage clothes from the mansion Rory had inherited the tasked of cleaning out. They were quite the pair.

Heir to a multimillion dollar old hollywood throne, Rory Kincaid wants nothing more than to leave his family legacy behind and move forward with a career in politics. But he has to get rid of the mansion he and his brother grew up in and all the belongings left there, which include a lot of vintage hollywood clothes.
Jilly Skye has recently inherited her mother's vintage clothing store and has been contacted by Rory to come inventory and possibly buy all the clothes and accessories the house holds.
Neither expects the be instantly attracted to the other when they are so obviously wrong for each other. Rory is a budding politician who doesn't want any of the flamboyant lifestyle that he grew up with and Jilly is a woman so sheltered in her childhood she wants nothing but freedom and a colorful life. But a snag in the works throws the pair together in a most peculiar way, forcing them to work together to make sure neither or their lives and careers are ruined.
Meanwhile Rory's brother and Jilly's business partner are discovering they have a very tangled past with a small and very demanding connection pulling them closer and closer together.
I really liked that Rory and Jilly had opposite childhoods and grew up to have opposite lives, both wanting what the other had. They sparked off of each other the moment they met and it just got better from there. You could see the fact that they each represented the other's past and that was the biggest appeal and source of tension.
The sexual tension between them started off pretty high but some how just continued to steadily grow through out the entire book.
I also liked that they thought they had nothing in common but the more they involved themselves in the other person's that changed. By the end they had so much in common it was a little scary.
And I LOVED Iris. She was the absolute best!

Funny and cute. There were moments where it was a bit slow. This was definitely a book I had to set aside and walk away from. Not that it was bad in anyway, it was just too slow moving for me finish as quickly as I normally do. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who was looking for a good contemporary romance that could make you laugh.

The way she adds the zany characters into the story pairing them with the uptight characters make for a very enjoyable story.

La verdad es que esta autora ha sido una decepción para mí. De las dos novelas que he leído, ninguno me ha gustado. Esperaba mucho más de las tramas, que se insinuaban interesantes... pero nada.
