The zombies are disappearing. This might seem like a good thing, since zombies eat your brains, but normal human kid Jack Sullivan is suspicious. He keeps hearing an eerie shrieking noise that seems to be almost summoning the zombies—but to where, and for what (probably) foul purpose?

I loved The Last Kids on Earth. I would always present the story as "Wimpy Kid meets The Walking Dead, and I guess the authors heard me, because the second book is basically that - a parade of zombies drawn to a certain area along with a villainous monster working against the kids. This story continues to be a fun, madcap tale, and I'd go as far to say the second book is even better than the first. It's just a ton of readable fun, and I can't wait for the next installment. Very well done as usua

A wonderful sequel to the first book! Giggles, zombies, monsters, pizza, what could you possibly want more? :P
The book jumps right into the action with the Wormungulous and from there on it is a non-stop ride through this world. A world that now also has other monsters in it, monsters that might not actually be willing to kill, but are actually happy to have a new, safer, world to stay in. I really loved their addition, it was so much fun that we didn't only have brainless monsters, but instead ...more

"Friends are important. Family is important. Maybe the most important thing. But even a post-apocalyptic action hero can't keep them safe all the time."
These books are great. It was so fun to watch Jack grow through this second book. In the first, he learned June wasn't a damsel in distress. In this one, he realized that he couldn't do everything, that he couldn't save everyone, and that his friends could feel like Jack doubted them when he wouldn't let them do the dangerous things.

I love listening to this series. The narrator, Robbie Daymond, does such a good job bringing the stories to life. Daymond really brings out the humor and zany adventures! Zombie Parade is the 2nd book in this series. The stories build on each other, so it's pretty important to read/listen to them in order. But at an average of about 5 hours per story....it's not hard to work through this series in a short amount of time. Great listening entertainment for kids...and adults!

Read this aloud to Andrew in THREE sittings. Any book that can hold my 8 year old's attention. Like that, is a winner.

It’s funny, it’s light, it has these awesome jokes, adventures, and BESTIARY BOOK. I mean, C’mon! You’d be nuts not to love it.
I totally recommend this to anyone who loves fun, adventurous books. 💚💚
SPOILER ALERT:
P.S: I never saw the plot twist coming. I was shocked.

I'm such a fan of Middle Grade graphic novels. Not only are they a ton of fun, but they're so important in sparking a love of reading for kids who are intimidated by big chunks of text.
Brallier and Holgate do it again in this second book in THE LAST KIDS ON EARTH series, which follows self-proclaimed post-apocalyptic action hero Jack Sullivan. For me, what makes these books so flippin' brilliant is that Jack & Co. aren't just trying to survive during the apocalypse. They're having fun with it, g ...more

This book was amazing. I loved this book because it's super entertaining and I just can't stop reading it. The worst part is finishing the book. This book is about a boy named Jack and his friends, Quint, Dirk, and June live during the worst time of there time, the zombie apocalypse. they meet awesome allies and terrifying enemies. Now Jack and his band of friends must fight to protect Earth. I recommend this book to people who love adventure, action, and has a great sense of humor.

Just finished read this book to my 7 year old last night. It was super cute! He really loved it and wants to read the next one in the series. Wasn't sure how he would like it but he ended up really into it and understood that just because the monsters were different didn't mean they were all bad!

I don't think I could fully explain how much I like this series here, but I'll try. Having tore through book one like Blatg through a horde of zombies, I've discovered that I intend to read all five books (and watch the great TV shows). Despite operating under the guise of reading to my son, I would finish this series even if my little guy gives up (which he probably won't). Jack is an engaging hero, an orphan who never had a real home, but finds a second chance in the Apocalypse. He's brave, lo

This book was the same as the first, with only one linear plotline. There is a zombie parade, which is basically zombies coming together to one location for some unknown reason. (The reason, later, is discovered, and it didn't leave me satisfied).
The whole book can be skipped about, only reading the illustrations, just like the first book. I finished this book in about an 1, and my copy has 289 pages.
Not worth the money, but if you can catch a used version or barrow one, that should do.

I read this to my son. We are both big fans of the series. A snarky main character with mild, child friendly "horror" elements. Honestly, if he wasn't enjoying the series, I would probably finish reading it on my own.
