I love this book. It offers a very quick and concise explanation of the Arts and Crafts movement in Great Britain. The accompanying photos and illustrations are wonderful. This book serves as an excellent introduction to understanding this movement. I also love the brief exploration of how the movement was carried on and expressed in other countries.
Excellent overview of the Arts and Crafts movement in the UK and US, with a nod to later German and Vienniese interpretations. Nicely illustrated and briskly written.
Walter Crane's swan and rush wallpaper design is on the book jacket. Since I could not find the cover image I uploaded this instead. This seems to be a companion book, similar in design and execution to Poulson's "William Morris" and is likely to be of the same high caliber.
