Calling Jackie Turov psychic makes her cringe. But Jackie’s no normal seventeen-year-old. She picks up emotions from people and objects like a freak. The emotions make her sick, and the guilt she feels for lying to her church when she was twelve causes her to deny her psychic abilities.

So Jackie goes goth to make others stay away from her and forget her past. But her past

Boundless Book Reviews
A high school senior, Jackie, isn’t exactly part of the “in crowd,” and she’s ok with that; she prefers to be left alone. She’s deemed an outcast in her town because of a “Virgin Mary vision” she experiences as a child, in the middle of Sunday morning church service, with the entire town watching. Why does this deem her an outcast? Maybe Jealousy, lack of tolerance, or it could just be that people are scared of what they can’t understand. Regardless of the reasoning; her school life was unpleasa ...more

This well written story line pulls you in right from the very beginning and immediately puts you right into all of the action, the unexpected treachery and the paranormal elements. The author's world building and characters are right on. I gave this four stars because there were some times were the story seems to lose its pace and dragged on a bit.

{I received an eARC when I signed up to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are unbiased and

Have you ever wondered what it's like to a devout religious member suddenly aware you are psychic - in the middle of a church service?

Welcome to the world of Jackie Turov....

In order to hide her psychic abilities, Jackie lies about what happened that day in church and continues to denounce her abilities. In order to keep people to leaver her alone, Jackie turns goth and standoffish, making her unapproachable. When things take an evil turn, all of a sudden her past is revealed, and her lie no lo

Jackie Turov has an experience that I can say in all certainty that I’ve never had and you probably haven’t either. I always thought how interesting it would be to have a small amount of the ability she’s been “fortunate” to have but after reading her story I’m glad I don’t. You see how hard it is for her and those around her. People think of you differently. Jason seems like a really good friend and that’s something she needs. But then strange things start to happen. And Jackie finds herself ha ...more

The beginning of this story grabbed me right away. Jackie's in church with her mom and grandma, and receives a 'vision' of the Virgin Mary. The priceless reactions of all involved set the perfect background for the rest of the book.

Jackie is a very enjoyable character. She's pretty down to earth, especially when one considers her powers. There's a lot of nice character development as she learns to deal not only with those around her, but also how to embrace herself.

The paranormal side to all of

This story is extremely well written, and makes the reader feel part of the action at all times. Each character has his or her own quirky personality traits which develop more throughout the book.

The book combines religion and the supernatural in a very unique way. There are twists and turns from beginning to end, so you never know what to expect or what will happen next.

My only real complaint with the story is that the main character gets a new love interest near the end of the story, in a pl

This story is a keeper!

Jackie is sadly like a lot of kids in high school, teased for being different.
Even though her issues are different I can see a lot of teens being able to relate to Jackie and understand why she hides herself from everyone.

Jackie Turov is special. But sadly due to an incident when she was younger, has made her hide her "gifts" and shield herself from everyone around her. Even one of her so called "friends" betrays her and that's when Jackie's life begins to get really inter

**3.5 Stars**

This is a cool paranormal story!

The main character, Jackie, can read emotions from touching people and objects. She is unable to stop the flow of emotions and because she feels like a freak, she turns goth and limits her interaction with others.

Jackie is a very likable character despite doing her best to close herself out from everyone else. This book had some unrequited love, jealousy, demons, psychics, bullying, and the start of a new love. The story was sad, happy, funny, stress
