Well, it started off interestingly enough. We got the original The Little Mermaid and then chapters following about where Andersen might have gleaned his inspiration from. But then it turned into statues, ballet, operas, and really much less interesting than discussing and dissection the original fairy tale itself.

I understand the author is an ambassador of Denmark, which one certainly feels through his rampant patriotism, but it detracted from the criticism as a whole. I was much more
