Franklin W. Dixon is the pen name used by a variety of different authors who were part of a team that wrote The Hardy Boys novels for the Stratemeyer Syndicate (now owned by Simon & Schuster). Dixon was also the writer attributed for the Ted Scott Flying Stories series, published by Grosset & Dunlap.
Canadian author Leslie McFarlane is believed to have written the first sixteen Hardy Boys books, but worked to a detailed plot and character outline for each story. The outlines are believed to have originated with Edward Stratemeyer, with later books outlined by his daughters Edna C. Squier and Harriet Stratemeyer Adams. Edward and Harriet also edited all books in the series through the mid-1960s. Other writers of the original books include MacFarlane's wife Amy, John Button, Andrew E. Svenson, and Adams herself; most of the outlines were done by Adams and Svenson. A number of other writers and editors were recruited to revise the outlines and update the texts in line with a more modern sensibility, starting in the late 1950s.
The principal author for the Ted Scott books was John W. Duffield.

In this Hardy Boys mystery, the brothers are participating in a winter sports competition when trouble arises! Some of their equipment, and even other competitors' equipment, is tampered with. They will have to track down who would want to ruin the competition and see if it ties in with their current assignment. I really enjoyed reading this one a lot!

Pretty crappy. Essentially, the President's son is attending the Bayport "Extreme Winter Olympics" clone and there's somehow a plot to kidnap and, I guess, kill him, and everyone is just trying to sabotage the Hardy Boys. No real mystery or clues here or anything. So XTREME that it was really just kinda boring, didn't make much sense. Meh.

THE HARDY BOYS

THE UNDERCOVER BROTHER

BOOK 1 EXTREME DANGER

What I red over Christmas was the Hardy Boys its by Franklin W. Dixon. You join Frank and Joe Hardy on the adventure to find the mastermind behind a possible attack at the Big Air Games which is there mission. Where they are going is Philadelphia PA. In this book its a mystery and the potential victims are the top extreme athletes in the country and a thousand spectators. But the suspects are are a group of extremists working together which they all might be one.But now I have to read all 23 and I just finished one. But I recommend these kid of book because there filled with lots of adventure and mysteries. Heres one quote from the book theres never enough excitement when you have a brother.

Danger in the Extreme is one of the few books that interested me. I like this book because it has a lot of action in it and the story has a lot of twists in it. I liked reading this book because it was right at my reading level. This book was all about danger and extreme stunts.

The book "Danger in the Extreme" takes place in the town of Bayport in the middle of winter. The "Extreme Games" takes place in a football stadium.
