So short! It kind of just introduced a story instead of actually going into it. Helsinki #2 is out now too but I might just wait for the whole set (1-5) to come out in a single volume and then read that.

Some OB is always better than no OB though! Is Veera the future M.K.?

This story happens in 2001. And its in Europe where Veera believes that her uncle is a pedophile but the truth is that she is a part of a experiment.

This plot is like the TV series, Veera is the protagonist and we see Katja( the same that die in the TV series), Helena and Rachel who apparently knew Veera and wants all the clones dead.

In the comics we have more a clear image that what they are doing and why they-clones-turns sick. Some parts are confusing and still its all a mystery and why they are doing this and why the killing now or start there?

Review: Veera thinks she is a normal girl until she learns that her “uncle” is monitoring her. When she tries to find out what he is up to she learns she is not alone. There are many girls literally just like her.
Many of you have probably watched the BBC series Orphan Black. If so, than like me, this one might not make sense. Veera is a teen clone, one of many. She and others have figured this out and they are trying to do something about it. I’m not sure exactly how they tie into the tv show. Especially since Rachel seems to have a grudge against Veera as if they knew each other as girls. This confused me because Veera is much younger than Rachel or at least that is the way it seems. I really wanted to like this because I love the tv series, but without knowing how this teen group fits into the main group I could not enjoy it.
I do not recommend this comic to die hard fans of Orphan Black. It leaves too many loose ends and does not explain how this group relates to our main group. If you want to read this please understand how different it is from the show.

I received a free ecopy of this book from Netgalley for my honest opinion.

I was so excited when I found out that Orphan black was in graphic novel form. I devoured this book in a matter of an hour. This is a dark gritty addition to the tv series . The graphic novel gives us a more in depth look at the characters . We learn more about the clones and Project Leda.

The graphic novel is dark and gritty , the artwork is great and adds to the story. You get sucked in from the very first page . There are new characters that come into play and some great old characters and clones we love .

Reading this graphic novel makes me want to re watch the show and I can't wait for the next installment of the graphic novel .

This is a great novel for us girls , it has what we want . So if you want a good graphic novel with great illustrations and a good story line check them out . If you are a fan of ORPHAN BLACK check them out they give great additional info on the characters .

I got a galley from Netgalley. Normally, I don't mention that but this one came without covers or much information about what volume this version was (or volumes). Based on descriptions, I believe I read the first 4 volumes in this series. The entire series may be coming out as a complete book July 2016. Again, the information is inconclusive.
Graphic novels based on television shows can be terrible. This was not the case here. The novel goes back in time to the Helsinki Incident that is hinted at during the show but never revealed. It's interesting. There is a lot of character introduction which was fun, especially seeing them at age 17. There's little background information about current characters - the only one given any real time is Rachel.
If you love the show - pick this up. It's fun.

I received this as an advanced digital download from Netgalley.

I've only seen the Orphan Black show enough to have a loose idea of the premise. That being said, I REALLY enjoyed this graphic novel. So much so that I now want to go binge watch the series and I NEED to read the upcoming volumes as well. It was as dark and gritty as I remember the show being and it really got me sucked into the various clones and wanting to know what happens to each one! It was just what I expected with a bit more! i can't wait to read the next volume!

I definitely recommend this graphic novel to anyone that's a fan of the show or looking for a graphic novel that's a little less superhero and a bit more gritty underside!

A new story arc and new character developed for the comic series. No waiting several months this time for me to read an Orphan Black story. I read it right off the bat. I love both the TV series and the comic book series. The same, but not the same. Smart writing really helps move the story along and the art is very well done also. Mature read, but that just means in this case that you have to think a little bit..

An interesting start to the Orphan Black Helsinki mini-series. I'm intrigued by the inclusion of new clones, and knowing what we know about Helsinki from the show, I'm curious to see where this goes.

So intriguing! At least the next issue comes out Wednesday, but since this is one longer story, the suspense will be intense ;) love these comics so much!

Es complejo calificar un capítulo que cumple el rol de introducción a la historia de Helsinki. Lo más interesante tiene relación con Veera, que habíamos conocido en el número de Rachel.

This is an amazing story so far and I cannot wait to see what happens next. I love delving further into clones we have not met before because it gives the show so much more depth.
