He had wanted to take Maddy Morgan on a date since he was in eighth grade. She’d always been out of his league and off the market.
But not anymore.

I LOVED this book!!! It was such a sweet and romantic read.

I always love heroes who have been playboys either because they haven’t met the right woman or because the right woman have been out of their reach like in this book.

I just loved Ronan and the fact that he has always had a crush on Maddy, but she was the one woman who never gave him the

This was a super fun, easy read and I totally enjoyed it. It's pretty fast paced with likable characters. It was really entertaining and sweet and had a nice element of suspense mixed in. Really great read!

I liked Maddy and Ronan a lot. I liked their connection and flirting. Maddy was struggling with moving forward in her life after a major loss and I loved Ronan's persistence of trying to get her out of her shell. It made for some playful, flirty moments and a few emotional ones too. I found i

Maddy Morgan has left her hometown for Manhattan. Not for the city life, not for the glamour of her high paying job, but to hide from the pain after her boyfriend of 10 years passed away. New York gives her anonymity. No one knows about her pain so there's no one to remind her of it. Except for Ronan McGuire. She's known Ronan since her school days. He's the brother of her best friend's fiancé and he's with the NYPD canine unit. And, though Maddy doesn't know it, he's had a thing for her since h ...more

Wow, I just downloaded this book not realizing I had already read it. I can't remember much of anything about it, though. I must have liked it when I read it a few weeks ago, but it didn't leave any kind of lasting impression...

Cute book. Well written; sweetly romantic with a smattering of suspense thrown in to fill out the basic romance storyline. I wish there had been more on the murders and more Bowser. Anyway, I'd read another; I guess next is brother Tristan.

I have read Ms. Humphreys's paranormal romances and enjoyed them but this is my first contemporary romance from her and I loved, loved, loved everything about it! The characters, the settings, the romance, all of it. TROUBLE WALKS IN is a really sexy, sweet and fun friends-to-lovers story and had me giggling like a schoolgirl with pleasure.

It's like the author went through a checklist and made sure to include everything readers would love - humor, family, lots of chemistry, witty banter and som

I finally read a Sara Humphreys!!! I've been having a lust-fest over her covers for ages and damn! I'm real sad I haven't managed to read any of them before now. Trouble Walks In was fantastic!

The quick of it is that female realtors are being targeted and it's got Ronan all in a dither because his childhood crush and current friend just so happens to be one of the top agents in the city. Thankfully an out of town wedding prov

I enjoyed this book. I liked the slightly different take on the police officer hero, the idea that he was a cop…but not a detective, a beat K-9 officer. This made it feel different, but at the same time the accessible police officer story I was looking to enjoy. The addition of Bowser was fun, and as an animal lover, I liked that the 3rd main character in the book was a dog. I liked that Maddy was accepting of this, and that it was never an issue

After reading the first book in The McGuire Brothers series I knew I had to read this as well. Sarah Humphreys’ books are fun and entreating. They are really the perfect way to spend a hot summer day!

Maddy’s boyfriend of ten years was a firefighter and he died on the job. So she leaves and moves to NYC to escape her grief. Ronan McGuire also lives in NYC and is a K-9 cop. They grew up together and Ronan has always had feelings for her…

Now that her grieving is over Maddy is starting to see Ronan

I am way too emotional right know to write much. Overwhelming, haunting and hot, hot, hot.

I don´t know how she does it, but with this book the author proofed again that she knows how to keep a reader have his nose stuck in a book.

Trouble Walks In is not only the perfect contemporary novel, but the perfect fit for a cozy afternoon with the warmth of a burning chimney fire.

Successful in being a real estate person Maddy is used to work long hours and to have almost no free time. Why bother going

Trouble Walks In is the Second book in the McGuire Brothers series that is the newest series by Humphreys. I adored the first book “Brave The Heat” so I was pretty excited when I saw this book in the Romance Package. One of the things that I loved about this series so far is the family of brothers here in the series, they are so fun and close knit. Trouble Walks In features a hero who is a K-9 Police Officer and a heroine who is a Real Estate Agent. Trouble Walks In, is a story that has multiple ...more

A romantic suspence novel that will knock your socks off.
Ronan is an amazing cop with a bit of a reputation. But he is still amazing, especially when he is with his family. Ronan has been working with the K-9 unit for a few years and as a result he feels fulfilled. But before he went home for the summer he had a new women every Saturday night. Now all he thinks about is Maddy. But is his infatuation still taking place at the wrong time like it did all those years ago when they were still in highs

I've loved this author for awhile now. I have read all her paranormal work but this is the first contemporary from her for me. I didn't realize is was a 2nd book but it can totally be read as a stand alone.

I liked how Ronan and Maddy go from friends to lovers. They have known each other their whole lives yet not been together. Tragedy allows Ronan to make his move but Maddy may still not be ready.

The McGuire family was absolutely wonderful. I look forward to reading more about them. T

Pleasant, if not overly unique. I want to like it more. I like Maddy from the first book and want her to have a well deserved HEA. I think Ronan has great potential, but I just didn't feel the chemistry. For me, there are also a few unresolved issues, albeit minor, I wanted to see addressed. ...more

I'm not ashamed to admit that I picked up Trouble Walks In because of the man-candy on that cover. I can be impulsive like that and a lot of times that can backfire, but not this time around. I found this book to be very reminiscent of one of my favorite books by Lauren Layne, with the NYC setting and Ronan being a cop. It was a sweet and romantic read.

I don't know what it is about cops in book, but I find them very attractive. And Ronan was the whole package. He was devoted to his work, hardwor

The second contemporary novel by Humphreys is everything you are looking for in a romance novel. The set up: Ronan McGuire (Gavin's, the hero from the first novel Brave the Heat, brother), has always liked Maddy Morgan (who is Jordan's, the heroine from the first book, best friend) from afar, but she was always involved with someone else. After a tragedy (detailed in BtH) Maddy has moved to NYC and has thrived as a successful real estate agent. Ronan also works in the city as a K-9 officer. He i ...more

A riveting thrill to kickoff a brand new series with author, Sara Humphrey's, "The McGuire Brothers," that arrived at the right time for me as a reader. I will admit that a few months ago I stopped reading this author due to her many paranormal-romances that in my opinion the stories began to repeat themselves. So I took a break and then I got back into reading the author with this new series. I am so happy that I did I might add.

Ronan is quite the cocky man, “did Santa bring you what you wanted?” he teased. “Great sex with one of the NYPD’s finest.” Sometimes it's not the people that make the story but the animals, "she giggled when Bowser belched loudly after finishing his food. “Nice, buddy,” Ronan said through a laugh. “See? You’re spoiling him . If you keep it up, he’s gonna weigh three hundred pounds.” I liked this book, and although I loved Ronan I loved his dog more.

OMG!!! Just finished this. I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to read the next book about the McGuire brothers. Totally shocked when the bad guy was revealed. I thought it was someone else. Also thinking that a huge hint was dropped about Ronan and Maddy's future.

Sara is one of my many "go to" authors and she NEVER disappoints me.

This is the second audio book that I ever listened to and yes, I listened (I mean read? or uh listened) this book right after the first one. I really loved this book - and the series!

Maddy left her hometown to disappear in NYC after Rick's death. Ronan is a NYPD K9 cop, and has had feelings for Maddy as long as he can remember.

Both characters where written incredibly well. I was cheering for them, if two people deserve love it is them.

But my favorite parts of the book - Bowser - what a personality.

I borrowed this and book 1 from the library with my Overdrive app - but I might buy these two for my Kindle.

I really want book 3, I hope i

A captivating second-chance-at-love story featuring a swoon-worthy K-9 cop!

“Once we (McGuires) set our sights on something we want," Ronan rasped, "we don't quit until we get it." She wasn't sure if he bent to her or she reached for him, but the end result was explosive. Ronan's mouth covered hers, and with a strangled groan, she opened to him immediately. His tongue sought entrance and lashed along hers with swift, furious strokes.
