Able Team goes north when a bizarre man-beast locks an Alaskan village in a grip of terror. It seems its appetite runs to local Eskimo fighting a proposed multibillion-dollar off-shore oil-drilling operation.
This skinwalker may be the stuff of Eskimo legend, but the vicious jaws that mangled Gadgets Schwarz's leg are real - and so is the group of mercs hired by the oil company. Their idea of diplomacy begins with auto-fire.
In a showdown to the end, the land of snow and ice feels the heat of Able Team.
This one is ok I guess, closer to a 2.5. Its definitely a weaker book in the series, though its better then any of the ones Chuck Rogers wrote which doesn't say much. The team is in Alaska taking some time off but are called in to handle a problem in the state dealing with the Eskimo and the oil companies trying to get the oil rights from them. The "PR" company the oil guys hire are using a shaman who thinks he is a werewolf to scare the Eskimo, they also have well armed mercenaries. Able Team goes in and figures out what is going on and have some old man shaman helping them too or something. To be honest it just got silly, in a mens adventure book that says a lot since they are kind of silly to begin with. Adding the hint of supernatural elements doesn't work in a series that never has used it before.
Not recommended, Ken Rose wrote a few that were pretty good in the series but this isn't one of them.
this was so way out there it is lucky it got a two star from me. Able Team dipped too many times into the Sci fi crap and it is ashame this is the last one hope the stories in Heroes are better and so far ot is in Heroes I
