Sheila Walsh quotes many Bible references; however, she also quotes a lot of books and personalities, which is somewhat distracting. She shares her personal life and perspective as she defines and encourages joy in our Christian walk. The main thing I got out of this is that joy is the fruit of our relationship to Jesus, there is no other access. The closer we draw to Jesus and abide with Him, the more fruit we can enjoy. Each chapter ends with suggestions on “Getting to Joy”. Sort of a self-help book, but fairly well grounded in the Word.
