I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was a quick and entertaining read. I liked the twists and turns that the author kept throwing my way and they mystery aspects. I also enjoyed the romance that was present. The only thing was I didn't find the story very realistic. I'm not saying that the stuff couldn't happen, but really what are the chances. Also the characters didn't always jive with me.

This is the second book I have been able to read by Laura and I am in love with her writing style, whether it's New Adult of YA. Treacherous was full of drama, suspense and so much passion. Completely EPIC.

Charli is what she considers herself as undatable because of her families career choices, her family is high up on the totem pole so to speak and are well known. However, she never expected the lies and secrets that were being down behind the scenes. Charli's world is turned upside down when

There's only one other book I've read that made me want to reach through the pages and strangle the mother. This book and the entire Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The mothers in these two books will make you want to turn homicidal with rage. Hands down the worst parents... EVER!

I love Laura I really do but I truly wanted to kill her for what she did in this book that made me go "HOLY-S***-BALLS!!! Yes I know I'm very graphic but this book when you read it you'll understand my feelings, Charli's mom is such a effing b****, "Charlotte, we've had this talk before. We agreed I wouldn't set you up on any blind dates if you found yourself a suitable and respectable boyfriend. But it's been two months since that talk and you still haven't found one. I think it's time I interv ...more

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised. The writing is good and some of the characters jump right off the pages at you. You root for Charli, the lead female character. Yes, she did grow up as a child of privilege, but her life was not a happy one. She had the over protective, smothering type parents no one wants. She finally gets her freedom when she goes away to college and meets Mia. She starts to act like a normal teenager and actuall ...more

I enjoyed reading this one :) I wasn't able to stop once I started and was forced to read straight through just to see what happened!! I can't say much as I don't want to give anything away!! The MCs were great. I did however strongly dislike the so called mother!!
First problem was that by the time i got to 32pages in (20%) i'd already read 7 chapters! It kept flicking quickly from one scene to the next and different POV's all the time.
Love triangle wasn't too thrilling.
Characters lacked a defined and unique personalities.
Dialogue was dull.

Treacherous was interesting from the beginning. I think the thing that hooked me was the prologue, and the intriguing way it started. Not only that, but there was a specific topic they had talked about that made me want to keep reading to find out where that would take me.

This book had a very interesting thriller twist that I rather enjoyed. Going into the book, I didn't expect there to be any police work or politics involved in the story, and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved that the story w
College is about freedom and reinventing yourself and Charlotte aka Charli Jayne is ready for that. With overprotective parents, Charli and her best friend Mia can’t wait to embark on the college world and enjoy some of this new found freedom. However, this becomes difficult when Charli gets her own personal bodyguard courtesy of her parents. Will this bodyguard limit Charli’s fun or will she find out all the great things college has to offer?

I loved the plot of this story and I really liked or, in some cases, hated some of the characters, but I was also a little disappointed. Not because I disliked any part of the story, but I wanted MORE.
I thought the book was a bit rushed. I wanted to get to know the characters more. I wanted to know more about their pasts and more about their present. I understand that good stories will always having the reader asking questions: ‘Why did that happen? What’s going to happen next? Is that person RE

What the hell did I just read? The first half of this book was pretty good and I was enjoying where the storyline was heading but that changed. The author made Charli sound so clueless and slightly young for her age. I mean she's 21 and it's like I was reading about a 14 year old. The storyline towards the middle of the book jumped too fast and there was some details in the book that were missed. One minute I'm reading about something and the next it jumps to another part of the book. There was ...more

I haven't found a book by Laura yet that I haven't absolutely loved. This book is no exception. It sucked me in from the first page.

Let me tell you, the synopsis does not do this book justice.

Though my opinion might be slightly biased, I was rooting for Nathan from the beginning.
