When Danielle's favorite student is kidnapped right before her eyes, the police want to know exactly what she saw. All she can recall is a dark shape inside a waiting van--and the fleeting glimpse of a man's eyes. Now, with the victim's cries echoing in her mind, Danielle knows she is in a race against time. For the man she saw is a killer--and he knows who she is.
This was my second Patricia Wallace book to read. All I can say is this is your typical run-of-the-mill mystery. Short and sweet but nothing that’s going to blow you away. My complaints were that I was hoping that the kidnapper’s identity would be a mystery that I would have to solve but unfortunately they give the kidnappers identity away very quickly. Also this book has to deal with the abduction of a child and I was expecting to see chilling interactions with the kidnapper and his victim. However that doesn’t happen at all really. So I give this book 3 stars. It has a great premise but Wallace doesn’t bring it together and make it work like I was hoping for. Not a bad book but it could’ve been a lot better.
it was okay but it could have been better. skirted around all the nasty topics which made it bland and feel like there was a lot missing. could have been much better.
