Not the best in the series. Out of the 5 books I’d rank this #4. I only liked it because it was a good send off to the Sydney Bryant character. Story was decent and not predictable. Ending was kinda boring, even though a shot out was taking place. Not terrible but nothing that’s going to blow you away. If you’re a fan of the series it’s a must read though. 3 stars and overall I’d rank the series a 3.5.

Sydney Bryant, a detective from San Diego, is asked to look into a cold case in which the new bride is murdered in the Nevada desert on her wedding day and the groom has gone missing. The groom's skull is found 15 years later about a half hours drive away. Was it a murder suicide or was there foul play?
