I'm just going into week four of the Keto diet, and I'm already down 10 pounds. I was nervous about starting it at first, but the author's easy to understand explanations of how it all works made it understandable and relatable. As another reviewer mentioned, it was very thorough in terms of FAQ's and going over what to expect when your body is adapting to the Keto lifestyle.

Great starter for the keto diet. Most of the recipes are great tasting and easy to cook. The recipes are simple and family friendly. No super odd items that leave you scratching your head and cost an arm and a leg. Easily adaptable menus for families.

Non-fiction/Cookbook. Let me be clear, I am not on the keto diet but a lot of my friends are. I chose this book to see if it would be something I could do. I could not. Totally eliminating carbs and sugar may be something I can achieve in the future, but not at this season of life. I did cut back on processed foods considerably and found similar results though--weight loss and fewer joint aches. Baby steps! Good start for trying the ketogenic way of eating, includes background info, index of recipes, 4 weekly meal plans, 4 weekly shopping lists. Every recipe but one I cooked is a keeper.

Picked this book up because so many people, including my husbands oncologist mentioned keto. I really wanted to know what it was and why I should even look into it. We eat healthy, but defiantly need to cut sugar out because it is a huge feeder of cancer! After reading this book, Im diving into some others. Very interesting! Great book with a bad ending

This book was recommended to me by a guy I met who claimed he lost 40 pounds in about 5 months using this book. I ordered it for my kindle and began the 28 day program. I lost a mere 10 pounds and when I added a few carbs one day, I mysteriously put 3 of those pounds back on.

I went back to review what I should do after the 28 day program but sadly, all I could find were a bunch of recipes!

Hmmm....still not sure about the whole keto thing (based on this book) because I feel it wasn't explained enough....like what you're looking for when you switch out meals and totaling percentages and working this into your everyday life after the initial 28 days....

This might be a good starting point, or a good reference for meal ideas, but I don't think it suffices as an application book on this lifestyle. Along with the lack of recipe photos, I still found myself a bit confused and scratching

This is a nice resource. Great for beginners and seasoned Keto dieters. There are meal plans along with shopping lists to get you started. I found several recipes like especially the Corned Beef Hash using riced cauliflower, Orange Cream ice cream pops, Smoked Salmon Wraps( I used all cream cheese as I dont care for cottage cheese),Zucchini Fritters, Ham stuffed pork chops, Swedish Meatballs and the Simple Reuben Casserole.

Best Keto book out of the many I have read. I got a copy from the library but right away ordered my own copy. The plan is very easy and this is the only book where I can see making every recipe she includes. Anyone thinking of starting Keto, I highly recommend this book to help make it simple for you.

Lots of tasty recipes in here (especially Fiesta Lime Chicken Chowder), and the meal plans were super helpful to get started. I even lost some weight on the diet, but man is it difficult to stay that strict. I also found the meal plans to be way more food than I neededthe first week meal plan easily made enough food to last me weeks. I like this cookbook. I have been on Keto one year and have found several of the dishes I already make in here. The dressings and sauces section is really helpful as that is where I always reverted back to the store bought. These are simple and full of ingredients I already have in the house.

While there some recipes I have already mastered, there are many more I cannot wait to try.

I Disagree With A Lot of The Advice

I decided to read this book with an open mind, since I've heard people rave about the keto diet and how it can do great things for the body. When I hear things like that, naturally I expect the meals to actually be healthy. I've have been making the transition to eating more fully raw meals, and occasionally a cooked vegan or vegetarian meal these days. Therefore, reading this sort of book obviously is not going to be something that I am going to use recipes

My husband and I spend alot of time in the kitchen and are always looking out for new and interesting diet plans and recipes. Keto In 28 by Michelle Hogan has been a great addition to our collection. I have heard of ketosis and the ketogenic diet before but didn't really know what it was until this informational book. The Keto research continues with this one cover to cover. This one has 4 full weeks of meal plans and shopping lists for those starting out. Those meal plans never really work for me because I live alone and can cook half as much and have more leftovers (which I love). However, this book made it seem less insane to build my own meal plans based on the leftover factor.

Great book to read if you want to follow a Ketogenic way of eating. Easy to read and follow as some good recipes to start with.

Read this before I knew how to navigate Keto. Turns out, its not that bad.

I think the author does a good job explaining the basics in a simple and easy to understand way. Which I found very helpful.

The only thing I didnt like was her bread recipes. If you are into eating a slice of flavorless frittata, by all means, go for it. Simply too eggy for my taste.

Overall, an ok book.

I really liked this book because it was easy to understand and gave a great meal plan. I have been studying keto for a bit...and this was the best book I found without getting too in the weeds with medical jargon etc. most of the recipes use fairly typical ingredients as well.

I agree with the content of the book and am glad that I purchased it however I found 3 spelling errors in the first few chapters. That makes me question the editing process and doesn't do well for the book's overall credibility.

The first recipe I tried - stuffed peppers, had a cook time of 30 minutes. That won't cook ground beef and should be closer to 1 hour and 30 minutes. I hope the recipes are not riddled with similar errors. For something people pay money for, errors like this are
