Lex has never felt more exposed. She has just allowed Jake Reed, the lead singer of rock band Inkjet, to undress her and tie her to a chair backstage after a show, only to have him leave to go sign autographs.

It is the start of a dark, obsessive relationship that will lead Lex, a 20-something public relations professional from L.A., to lose herself almost entirely as she

Invisible Ink is one of those books that has a great premise and has a potential to be epic but the lack of character development and coherent plot knocked it down to just an okay read for me.

This book tells a story of Lex and Jake. Lex is an LA career girl while Jake is a rock star. They met during one of his concerts-slash-meet-and-greet which Lex's best friend drag her to. Lex caught Jake's eye after a somewhat embarrassing situation during the Q-and-A with Jake. This meeting led into one of

In the world of explicit fiction, eroticism is sometimes treated as synonymous with sex. In my view, they could hardly be more different. Sex is about physical acts and the sensual pleasure they engender. Eroticism involves the experience of desire, an emotional state that may be entirely independent of bodily arousal.

Of course, desire and sex often occur together (the former usually being the cause, the latter the effect), but that’s not always true. I’ve read far too many self-styled “erotic”

Lex & Jake's paths cross backstage at a concert one night. He is the lead singer of the band Inkjet. He is a guy that many girls fantasize about. He is extremely gorgeous, single and has a well known reputation with women, a very kinky reputation at that.

Jake Reed is not interested in dating women nor having any sort of committed relationship now or in the future. When Lex catches his eye he is determined to get her under him and goes to great lengths to do so. I think Lex is just as shocked

Before reading this book you should know it’s not the typical romance. In fact, I would almost call it erotica with some romantic elements added but you do get a happy-ish for now ending. With that being said, it’s definitely worth the read.

Invisible Ink is a succinct and erotic adventure in lives of a normal person, Lex, and a rock star, Jake. She’s a fresh faced twenty-something who works in public relations which is what gives her the bravery to initially say what’s on her mind to Jake durin

Well Holy Crap that was one hot little addictive read!!! Short but certainly not lacking story and sexy times!!
Jake is a star and Lex is a fan. What started as a hot hook up backstage led to lots of hook ups. They couldn't get enough of each other. It was crazy!!! They would go months, even years without speaking and a simple text BAM!!! All of over each other as soon as their eyes meet!!!!

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho it’s back to work I go! That’s right, peeps. The Vixen is back and I have a new book to share with you. Invisible Ink is Elisabeth Joye’s debut as an erotic romance author—and what a spectacular introduction it is!

Right from the start, her heroine pulled me deep into her world. I couldn’t put the book down unless forced to do so. You all know I’m a veterinarian by day and writer whenever I can squeeze it in. Reading i

Lex and Jake. What can I say about them? The first thing you should know, the first thing I should state up front, is: I didn’t like either of them.

It’s a testament to Ms. Joye’s genius that she created characters I didn’t like, and sucked me in until I had to keep going, had to know what happened, even as I yelled at the book, rolled my eyes, and groaned over their self-destructive behavior.

This was the first book I've read by Elisabeth Joye and it was amazing!!!!! Books that start off with hot sex right out of the gate always "peak" my interest, guess cuz I'm a "bad girl" LOL just kidding(not really :) But seriously, this book is hot, full of sex and hot...wait I said that already, but it is HOT!!!! Jake Reed is the lead singer of the band Inkjet and he becomes infatuated with Lexi from the first time he meets her. But he's a rock star and he has rules. He has to be in control at ...more

Invisible Ink, an erotic obsession by Elisabeth Joye is about what becomes two person’s obsession. Jake Reed is the front man for the rock band Inkjet. Lex works for a PR firm in LA. They met because Lex’s best friend is a major Inkjet groupie. They start an exploration of sex and their ability to work with their erotic obsession.
Lex’s reaction to Jake was “He had a way of making me feel simultaneously self-conscious and intoxicatingly thrilled.”

4 stars One Hot story

This story tells of a rockstar who chooses a fan to hook up with. It turns into a sex-filled non-relationship. Lex craves Jake and goes running every time he beckons. Jake is a bit of a puzzle; a rockstar cliche who just want to screw who he wants when he wants. Lex doesn't seem like a typical groupie at first because her friend made her go to the concert. But she becomes a sex-with-Jake addict. The story is one sex romp after another with hints of connection and relations

Invisible Ink is a short dark story centered on an uncontrollable, undeniable obsession. I got lost in Lexi and Jake. Their obsession and need pulled me in.

Jake is a Hollywood actor/rock star playboy who is incapable of opening up his heart. However, he finds himself drawn to Lexi from when they first met. They share a connection but Jake makes no promises. Overtime Lexi is consumed and lose herself in Jake. He takes over her life. When Lexi reveals a secret she’s been hiding Jake falls back int

A great novella to indulge in all your dirty rock star fantasies! Jake Reed is not only kinky, but creative. I was giddy with anticipation with what new "rule" he was going to introduce into their sexual encounters. The intense sexual connection between Jake and Lexi was intense and palpable. It totally had goosebumps and tingles at times. The tension in their relationship gave me plenty of angst. These two definitely used each other as their own personal drug of choice, which led to some intens ...more

3~3.5 stars!

A really interesting short novella! There was so much going on for such a small book.

Jake is the front man of a musical group and he's really popular. Lex works for a PR company and they first met at a meet and greet that Lex's best friend wanted to go too.

There were some parts I really liked an others were really frustrating. And there was some scenes that were scorching HOT!!!

Overall, a good read!

LOVED IT!! Best novella EVER! I literally could not put it down. I read it about 35 times. It was so good. I loved how it ended. It was perfect. The whole story felt like real life.
Jake reminded me of Jared Leto which made it hotter. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone!
I seriously hope she comes out with another one because this story was so hot. I'd be first in line!

One very hot rockstar read! I was intrigued from the very beginning, quickly falling in love with the fierce connection Lexi and Jake shared. This novella is a steamy collection of sizzling hook ups that span across years, fueling an obsession that threatens to take over Lexi's life. The author has a real gift for writing chemistry and passion, and characters who know how to push their emotional and sexual boundaries. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of this authors work.
Reviews from the Heart (Kimberly Anne)
I was a bottle of mixed emotions reading Invisible Ink. In the beginning I was a little unsure of whether or not I was really going to enjoy this. I can’t remember the last time that I was so happy to stick with a book. Once I got past the opening, and not that the opening was bad, I think I was just a little confused at the start. The more I read, the more I fell in love. I loved the characters and they were very well developed and easy to love. There were moments that just simply brought on th ...more

I give this 3.5 stars

This book has drama, fighting, hot sex . You name it its got it. The story flows and is well written. I just didn't connect with the characters as much as I would have liked to.

Jake Reed is front man for Inkjet. His band does an expensive meet and greet and do an question and answer session with those fans who fork out the money.

Lex is one of the meet and greet fans..because she went with her best friends. She asks alot of

The sex scene's were hot, hot, hot. Lex is sexuality sensitive and Jake know's just how to handle her. The connection between these two fell flat. There was no spark and Jake gave nothing to Lex beside sexual pleasure. I wasn't all that taken by Lex either because she just gave into Jake without question. It's an odd relationship and one I couldn't connect with. The ending was ok but I was hoping for more .

I have always felt most alive when seeing my favorite bands in concert.

I've also always wanted to write a romance novel. Since I was a 12, I have been writing fiction, blending my love of bands into my stories. This is how Invisible Ink was born.

I am a trained reporter with a master's degree in journalism, but I gave up writing professionally to care for my son, who is about to turn 4. This littl
