I loved reading this as a child. ❤️ Yes, actually. I thought I wanted to be a doctor, but I was squeamish about dissection after reading a chapter in Grey's Dissecting Anatomy.

This guide explains a bit how the bodily systems are supposed to work, then expounds on various illnesses and conditions that can occur when something goes wrong. It is handy for home use to orient the reader about many common maladies, through both descriptions and images. A diagnostic section offers some flow charts that help the reader to find out what issues might be indicated from particular symptoms. The content assumes no prior medical knowledge, yet serves as a good starting point for getting a ballpark idea of where to look for relief from a wide range of ailments.

Has a helpful guide on how to treat certain conditions and a thorough detailing of everything from A to Z. Also, has a section full of enough actual documented pictures to make you want to lock yourself in a box and hide. Very helpful information.

The family calls it the "You're Gonna Die" book because darn near everything urges you to "seek medical attention now". I suspect it was not written by doctors, but by doctors' lawyers. Save time. Look up the symptoms on the internet.

It's mostly a guide for a healthy lifestyle but there is also description of many medical issues and ways of treatment. No book can replace a doctor, though.
