This novel strikes a cord on multiple levels. It introduces us to the fantastic world of Santa and his elves and how their job "really" gets done. It is a story about the redemption of the main character, Doc Stevens, who, through the circumstances of his life, has lost his connection with the people and things that use to matter the most to him. If you think all of the best Christmas stories have been told then you haven't read Doc Christmas, a delightful high-tech Holiday tale from Calgary Producer-Author Neil Enock.

This is a great new take on the old Christmas tale. I borrowed this book from my niece who bought it a while ago from the author at one of his signings. I then had to meet up with the author to get my own copy of the book to finish reading it.

This was a delightful first novel by this author. I enjoyed the new take on a Christmas story. Think of Elf-pads, trains, magic and Christmas. For a nice Christmas story this is a really good one. I must admit the writing could have been a bit better, but for a debut novel and a small publishing company I am not going to factor it into my rating. It could be a good Christmas movie.
