Well I can't say anything too bad, Lola Martinez was my anthropology lecturer. Regardless, her introduction (the rest is written by other authors) was very good. I remember she talks about how culture is gendered but is subjective being that culture changes in Japan depending on where you are. She also critics the lack of male culture studied by anthropologists. Would definitely recommend, the whole book is well written, covering male and female culture in Japan (though obviously sticking to on ...more
