I love it when I start a book without any expectations and end up devouring it in one sitting!
I didn’t know what to expect about this new contemporary by Lorelei James. I haven’t read much of her work except for a handful of her Blacktop Cowboys series but the few I’ve read I enjoyed her writing very much and have good memories of sizzling chemistry and lovable characters.
Just What I Needed is not exception to the above and is the sort of story that grips you right in if you’r ...more
I have a problem, and his name is Walker. It’s a problem because HE’S NOT IN MY PANTS RIGHT NOW! I’ve been indifferent of the long hair/man bun. I can usually take it or leave it, but in this case, I’ll take it!
More Walker...He's just....UNF!:
I cannot get enough of Walker:
Walker works in construction. Yeah, can he get any hotter or more perfect?! I think not. He is actually from a wealthy family, but he is the rugged man in his family and the gl ...more
“How about we have a drink and you can tell me the real reason you used your tongue to introduce yourself instead of a handshake?”
I adored this book!!
Walker Lund is sexy as hell with his viking look, the man bun, the beard and add the fact that he’s a carpenter that works with his hands for a living and I just want to lick him like a lollipop. Throw in the fact that he doesn’t have commitment issues, and he’s the perfect hero. Except that he hasn’t met the right woman, until Trinity walks ri...more

At first Trinity’s manic, impulsive behavior had me wanting to shake some sense into her, but she grew on me. She had a zest for life and a fun sense of humor, a believable personality for an artist. Als ...more
Okay, I admit I had to edit out the man bun and every reference to "lumbersexual" in my head. So not my thing. Other than that, Walker is one of the best leading men in romance and worth reading the book for all on his own. Sigh. I love those strong, capable, caring guys who are kind without being doormats and who want nothing more than the right person to make ...more
Walker and Trinity had a cute first meeting that had me smiling. I liked the flow of their relationship, it seemed rather instant but in a way that is full of excitement when you first meet someone and want to spend all your time with them. They were so sweet together, I liked their interactions. I loved Walker. He was so kind, caring, understanding, and patient. Trinity was a quirky chick and had some issues with self doubt but I love ...more

the chemistry between the characters are nowhere ti be seen. but there is a lot of commotion of bartering lunch dinner and date. but nothing happens.
walker is irritating. not even alpha male. trinity... is just 1 dimension of character. she is lack of self confidence in everything.
not for me.
Just What I Needed is a lovely contemporary romance that made my heart happy and my world a better place. I love a sexy story about finding the one that completes you when you’re not even looking.
Trinity is an artist who has this amazingly creative mind. She is one of my favorite heroine’s of all time. She’s quirky and genuine with a dash of neurosis. I am not sure that I have ever related so much to a heroine as I do Trinity. She is very ...more
I fell in love with the quirky Lund family in What You Need, and hoped to hell this series will run its full course.
In this book we get to meet Walker, the self proclaimed black sheep. Insert Trinity, the aloof artist, and together they struggle with finding out how to manage a real relationship and discover that they are exactly what th ...more
Oh my gosh!!! I loved this book. LOVED! I was in the mood for a light-hearted, fun contemporary romance, and Lorelei James delivered perfectly. I really enjoyed the first book in the Need You series, but Just What I Needed is definitely my favorite of the series so far. The hero is swoony and perfect, the heroine is down-to-earth and quirky, and the romance between them is so freaking sweet! My heart was seriously so happy with this book. I highly recommen ...more
A funny thing happened today when I opened my copy of Just What I Needed to pull some quotes for my review — I ended up reading it for the second time. Trinity and Walked pulled me right back in and I couldn’t stop once I started. Much like after the first time, I’ll say that Walker Lund is the real deal and if you need me I’ll be sitting over here with a serious case of swoons and a book hangover. Loved this one.
I absolutely adored both Trinity ...more
Im a bit torn on how to rate this book, maybe a 3.5 rating..
I quite liked the beginning of the book, Trinity was quirky, the dialogue was funny and the storyline quite fun. But the book started to lose me probably around mid point. It started to get repetitive and less funny. It was kind of too insta-love ish.
Walker was a hottie, I liked how he was referred to as a viking and went out on his own rather than fall into the family business. He was sweet and ...more
I crazy adored Walker and Trinity. It took me a little bit to warm up to the story—I mean, it starts off with a bang and hooked me immediately, but for whatever reason. I didn't open my heart to Walker and Trinity immediately. I always approach these "billionaire love stories" with a bit of skepticism, so I feel like the author needs t ...more
I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Many thanks to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Trinity Carlson is not having the best day. Throw in the fact that her ex-boyfriend walks into the bar she's drinking at with the women he cheated on her with, and Trinity has hit a serious low. To save face, Trinity marches u ...more
I was given an arc for my honest opinion of this book.
ARC provided by the author, but that has not influenced my review
I lolly gagged while reading, not in a bad way, I didn't want it to end!
Such a fun love Walker and Trinity have.
Definitely grab up this one, and book #1 if you haven't.
Just What I Needed is the next installment with the Lund Family. Uber-rich family based out of Minneapolis, MN. Walker Lund however does not have much to do with Lund Industries; he only serves on the board and openly admits that he ‘checks out’ about half way though those meeting. Walker is a co-owner of a construction/renovation company. ...more
JUST WHAT I NEEDED is the second book of the Need You series. Now if you haven’t read this series before, then just know that this is a Contemporary Romance series, not an Erotic one. However, James does throw Trinity Carlson and Walker Lund together very quickly.
Trinity is experiencing the worst day ever when she tries to salvage it at a dive bar. However, there she encounters her with his brand new girlfriend. It’s enough to throw her over the edge but instead of hitting the road, she actuall
Walker's dealing with a Jan Brady moment in his life. He feels as if his family only calls on him when they need something from him yet don't take the time to seek him out and find out how his life is going.
