I really love some of these "Best of..." collections. New stories from the South tends to be pretty decent- better than most collections. Interesting to watch -in reading old editions - how powerful and talented writers fade away and dissapear over time. Ah... good times, good times.
Collection of short stories, many of much were great, set in a very special place. I love southern writing, something great about the place that great stories often come through.
Michael Knight and ZZ Packer -- two of my favorite writers.
