Generously sized board-book editions of these toddler favorites are sure to please! Colorful photographs of everyday objects introduce basic concepts, while simple questions encourage youngsters to talk, point, and learn.
I like the basic concept, as well as the conversational way in which the book is written. However, it tries to do too much within a single book. Among others, it includes size, counting, color, and the concept of thick and thin. I suppose it would be a decent review, if you had a child that had already learned those concepts. It's definitely not a "my first" book of anything, because it introduces so much at one time.
This appears to have been designed for a toddler, but it was of equal interest to my preschooler, who was more qualified to answer the questions asked in the book. She enjoyed counting and identifying the tallest, longest, biggest, and thickest items in the pictures. Good for reviewing size concepts.
