san francisco in the sixties and seventies. v. early reviews of carol doda, mitchell bros., swartzenegger, springsteen from the the chronicle critic. who died (in a drunken car crash of his own making) before he could see aides and the moscone milk killings and jonestown.
if you like reading reviews by a guy that thinks he's smarter than everybody in the room this is your thing. harlan ellison, hunter s thompson and others of this ilk were better writers.
