In the spirit of full disclosure, I should reveal that I know the author of this book. I liked the story and the characters but I never quite connected with the hero and heroine. So I did not get emotionally engaged with them. I did read two of her other novels and was much more affected by them.

Published in the 1990s, her books are impossible to find. I borrowed this copy from the author.
