ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

First off, I was super happy and grateful to the author for giving me a chance to read his work. I always appreciate it, when someone gives you something that they've been working really hard on in exchange for your honest opinion and critique.

When I started reading this story I found the first few chapters quite interesting, since you not only get the modern version of the story but also historical love scenes and I have to admit, I have not seen many authors do that, so that was definitely fresh and intriguing. Also, I liked the meeting of our main characters, Violet and Adam. Who knew their small accident would turn into so much more?

As I said, I liked the beginning of the story but as I continued reading, I noticed that there are many details that distracted me from the actual plot of the story and also I found some of Violet's responses to certain situations a bit too rash and not enough thought throu. I felt like she was a bit naive but also at the same time such a sweet character. She definitely made mistakes, some that almost cost her the chance at love. I think I liked Adam's character the most. He was a bit controling but with his job that personality was totally understandable and for me personally quite welcome. Besides from liking things under his order, he was such a great, strong character, who knew what he wanted and didn't let others play him. I just loved him and his big heart.

Also, there were many and I mean many sexy scenes, so if you are into that kind of books, then this story is definitely for you! I personally didn't enjoy it that much, just because of that fact and also, too many details that could've been left out of the story, but that doesn't mean that this book isn't right up your alley. :)

Violet Cole is a peralegal for a small law firm. There she meets Adam Stone who is the lawyer for the other side. She is quickly attracted to him. A few months goes by and they meet again to do the closing of the deal that the lawyers have been working on.
But they accidentally meet again a few days before where they set to go out for coffee. There they both make it know that they are both attracted to each other and set up to go out again.
Once Violet get past his NDA and the Doctors they start their physical relationship. Adam has never been involved with a women as he as been with Violet.
This was a really good read that I will say has a cliffhanger at the end... you have to get the next book to read more of their growing love.
I really enjoyed this book even with the cliffhanger and hope that you do too.

Violet Cole is a 23-year old paralegal working with her boss Paul Anders on a bank merger. The lawyer on the other side of the merger is Adam Stone who at 28-years old is renowned for merging two major international fast food companies. Violet & Adam have a chance meeting in the lobby on their way to the first merger meeting before they know who each other is. When they are officially introduced to one another by Paul, they play coy at not having met. As the bank merger moves along, Violet & Adam do not see one another while the details of the deal are hammered out. But Violet can't stop thinking about Adam. Violet has a darker side, a well-kept secret hidden deep with her mind. It is a sexual fantasy she has developed over the years where she is Gia a pleasure slave to a powerful prince. Violet & her friend Ann are meeting at an upscale hotel restaurant for brunch. While Violet & Ann talk, Adam wanders over to say 'hello'. He just so happens to be eating at the same restaurant. In a few days, it will be the closing meeting for the merger & Violet know she will be seeing Adam again. Both before & after the meeting Adam makes it very clear he is interested in Violet & attracted to her. They start to see one another, but come very different paths in life. Violet is sexually inexperienced & Adam is a driven, take control type of guy. Will they be able to connect? Will they both be able to get over painful pasts? Can they find what the need or want from the other?

This book is about two hurt souls that have learned to function in 'society' but know nothing about love. They both have experienced a trauma in the past that has prevented either of them from getting close to anyone in a relationship. I really enjoyed this book. It is very sensual & sexual in nature. It is well written & though the characters themselves are not perfect they are developed. Violet is insecure & jealous while Adam is controlling Alpha male all the way. The Gia fantasies are cleaver & help set the mood for the book. This book is meant for mature readers.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Read Copy of this book.

In your most inner head, have you ever had a fantasy persona that could do or say everything you cannot in real life? Have you ever wished you could set that inner siren free? Do you remember fantasies of being with some hot rock or movie star? Was it the actual person or the roles they played that made so appealing? Meet Violet, a dedicated student and now a new entry into the world of big business where she would be meeting and greeting the movers and shakers of the business world. Little did she know the powerful man who captured her erotic imagination would move into her reality and shake her to her very core. Violet is smart, absorbs things like a sponge, but very naïve to the ways of men and relationships, so when Adam Stone set his sights on her, she is both surprised and in disbelief that such an Adonis could see anything in her.

Adam finds Violet fresh, an untamed beauty that he is determined to possess, mind and body. What he didn’t expect was the effect her innocence would have on his heart. Their worlds are miles apart and Violet’s lack of experience in relationships becomes a festering wound between the two of them, just as her insecurities cause her to act out rashly. Is their erotic relationship doomed to be nothing more? Must Adam possess ALL of Violet? Is she willing to give up herself for this powerful man or is it time for laying bare the past and finding compromise?

Oh my! Solid Stone: Revolving Door by E.G. Patrick is definitely fantasy romance coming to full and glorious life! Two fabulous characters find each other and become an unlikely couple with sizzling chemistry between the sheets and sometime combatants in the game of trust and letting go. Adam gets points for knowing what he wants and how far he will go to keep it and Violet certainly is a test for his controlling ways. This is NOT smutty erotica, this is learning to let go, and be all you dream of being as two worlds collide with explosive results! A great story that left my Kindle smoldering hot!

4**** Steamy stars from me

Well that was a really enjoyable story, Solid stone is the first part of the series and if you're looking for a steamy erotic romance then this story definitely suits you. I could say this book in reality is about a girl where her fantasies come true, well maybe she doesn't meet a Prince by the definition we know from fairytales, he is more dark and controllable.

From the explicit narration through the characters this book has the ability to keep you in focus for what is coming next for Adam and Violet. Both characters are easily lovable with totally different personalities, Adam is a bold/dominant/ Alpha male where Violet has more submissive personality but a very opinionated person. Their relationship involves quite fast and we get to see in early stages of the book steamy, hot scenes.

One of the things i liked most was the narration of Violet's fantasies they were really explicit and the author gave us something a little bit different in this juicy scenes, because well those kind of scenes are in the majority of the book so they couldn't have the exact same pattern it could get easily boring, so the author did a pretty good job in that area.

Really interesting story, i recommend it to everyone who loves erotic romance and i can't wait to see what is going to happen next in the series (Will Adam commit for good?? I truly wonder!!)

What can I say about Adam Stone’s major hotness? He’s so dominant. It’s kind of sexy.
This book did not disappoint. I loved every part of it including the surprise ending. I’m trying not to write spoilers because I could never do it justice. I loved Violet and her daily affirmations. I loved how the first night she spent with Adam wasn’t sleazy up against the wall sex. (My romantic side I guess.)

Solid Stone reminds me a bit like 50 Shades, which I do like about this story, however, I had a hard time connecting with Violet. She's a 23 year old that came across more like a teenager with her first crush. I think I would have enjoyed this story more if she was a bit more mature. Adam characters was very well written. He was a mature, strict and cold business man who was immediately drawn to Violet. It was a bit weird that Violet had fantasies about an alter ego and a prince. I would have rather that not been part of the story but it was the reason the author was able to introduce a new lifestyle between Violet and Adam. There will be a second in the series and I am intrigued to see if the second book will be better developed.

When it comes to 'Solid Stone' by E.G. Patrick, my opinion is to go into it blind. I say that because the way this heartbreaking and beautifully erotic story unfolds is just to die for, at least for me it was! Violet knows the alluring Adam Stone is renowned in the high-powered corporate world. He consumes all of Violet's thoughts. A control freak, Adam is determined to possess all of her. They embark on a passionate odyssey. How far is Violet willing to go to keep their relationship alive? Secrets are exposed leading to an explosive climax. This is a very well written story and even though I have not read a lot of this type of genre, I enjoyed reading it. This author kept my interest from the first meeting between the two main characters.

This was a sexy-panties are optional-story, which had me clenching my thighs and wishing it was me, not Violet, receiving the pleasure!! Violet's innocence showed right through her and I'd like to think that's why Adam becomes so intrigued with her.

As Adam showed Violet what she'd been missing out, I saw the Domineering Alpha in him and, to be honest, at times I wanted to smack him. Poor Violet didn't know what she was exactly getting into when she said yes to Adam...but, boy, she was about to find out.

Adam was used to being right, obeyed and getting what he wanted, and I'd like to believe that's why he chose Violet. Adam shows Violet how good they are together, yet we also see a sarcastic side to Adam that once again had me wanting to reach out and smack some kindness and sense into him. I frequently hated how he treated and spoke to Violet, and that's why I felt Violet lost a bit of her self-esteem there. I know she wanted to please him, but I wish she would have fought a little more. Though, one of the many things that Violet did experience was discovering her sexuality, which Adam was a pro at showing her.

Now, be warned! Solid Stone ends on a cliffy so we have to wait for book two to see if there will be a HEA for Adam and Violet. Nonetheless, it was a HOT read so get ready, and be prepared…you might need a cold shower (or two) and some extra panties after this one. ~ Kara, 4 Hot stars

Ok this is a DNF. What a snore fest! I can't even see or feel any attraction between these two. He is cold and indifferent. I like dominate characters, but just not feeling it with him. She is desperate and it comes through. Her little fantasies are snooze feasts too. Blah Blah..I feel like I am listening to the teacher from Charlie Brown. Sorry just another rip off of 50 Shades without the feelings and I hate saying that.

Title: Erotic!
“Solid Stone: Revolving Door” by E. G. Patrick

Steamy and sensual along with the most mind blowing sex, which covers countless pages of E. G. Patrick’s “Solid Stone,” this book entices and excites. When readers think there is no other way for the author to create an interesting and arousing sex scene, they are not let down. Patrick opens doors to a world that seems vaguely familiar and sometimes titters toward the realm of fan-fiction. Erotic and romance book lovers can easily point out some similarities to E. L. James trilogy, but don’t get it twisted, Patrick is no copycat. With a twist of its own, “Solid Stone” takes off full throttle in an intriguing and unpredictable direction that will have you forgetting about Christian…Who?

As Violet Cole, a paralegal, bumps into the career accomplished Adam Stone, the pair explore and satisfies their sex craved desires as they attempt to define a relationship that is appeasing to them both. But here’s where it gets so darn good! Violet isn’t this shy and clueless virgin that needs much teaching. Her yearnings are so intense that she creates an imaginative world in which she is a submissive servant girl that enjoys being ruled by her prince. Her internal need of being ruled creeps into her world of reality when things between her and Adam become complicated. It is Violet who opens the door to the realm of dominate and submissive, which will have you running to purchase book II.

While Patrick knows exactly how to keep reader’s attention, there were a few scenarios and or conversations that were repetitive and takes away from the developing of the story. Readers will find themselves desiring to learn if Adam, the control freak, will finally pop his gasket? Or, why the drama starts too heightened and then drops flat. Then again, when the second to the last page is turned readers will realize this book is only an introduction into a darker world that Patrick is about to unveil, and I can’t wait!

I give “Solid Stone” 5 out of 5 stars.

Happy Reading

1 cold water would make me hotter than this stars

I am really sorry to do this, for I am aware the author put a lot of work into this, but COME ON!

This honestly read like written from a teen.

The heroine came across as an insecure, immature thirteen year old.

The supposed alpha hero was no alpha, but a prat.

I did not feel the insta love.

Insta love as in the virgin heroine gets naked after count one with the hero, ready to jump his bones.

After one disastrous date and one finger fuck at lunch there's 'I missed you so much' texting followed by a phone sex scene that made me ultimately DNF at 22% for nothing has ever read more unreal- almost plastic- than this:

"Slowly move your fingers down your body. Tell me how you’re doing it.”

"I’m trailing my fingers over my breasts slowly and moving down to my navel,” I moan. “I’m circling my navel and it feels so good. I’m now at my pubic hair, running my fingers through it.”

"Very nice, now I want you to explore yourself down there. Will you do that for me?”

“Yes, I am touching down there now.”

"Good girl. Are you wet?”

"Yes, very wet,” I whisper. My breathing is heavier now.

"I want you to slowly insert a finger into yourself and describe it to me.”

"I am circling around there and inserting my finger now. I feel ridges and it’s warm and wet.”

...

If you are writing smut, call things by their name, not "down there" or just leave the smut out and write simple romance- either way is fine by me, but this non-smut pretending to be smut makes my toes curl- not in a good way....

I highly sensed an - even worse written than the original - fifty shades spin off.

It may be that my review is all wrong and this book makes a complete 180 in the final 78%- unfortunately I am not hooked enough (as in not hooked at all) to find out.

I know there are those of you out there who massively object to people leaving reviews for books that they did not finish BUT surely it's only fair to warn others of a book that was so bad/difficult to read it wasn't worth the time and effort to finish it.

The writing in this is so incredibly stilted and lacks any 'warmth' it felt like reading a recipe or set of instructions. This could almost have been a 'Dear Diary' written by an immature teen. And if you are going to write lots of sex scenes can they be real and not the lurid fantasy of a 'very lacking in experience of any kind' virgin.

The meeting starts at eight thirty. I'm early and drop off my coat before making my way to the restroom. On my way out, I hear Adam's voice. He's on the phone, and signals for me to wait by raising his hand. I stand just outside of the women's restroom door. He finishes his conversation with an abrupt, "I'll get back to you on that," and hangs up.

I chose that paragraph at random. The whole book is written in the same vein. I'm starting to read it using the same voice I used years ago when I read to my pre-school children, which rather puts a dampener on a supposedly erotic book. I've not read the 50 shades books - I did try watching the film until some drying paint distracted me. Reading this book is as painfully boring as watching the film was.

At the end of the day this is just my opinion. I would recommend trying a sample of the book and making your own decision. This is the first of a trilogy of books and ends on a cliffhanger.

I was excited when I first started to read this book because of all the action and sex sweaty workouts between Adam and violet but after the first few chapters the sex started to get monotonous. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the sex is mind blowing and which hot blooded gal will not like some action with the story! But for me, I like when a story has a good plot with gut wrenching climax and a purpose all tie in with the sex.

I keep reading and reading thinking that the purpose and the backbone of the story will develop and nothing happens. All Adam and violet are doing is banging each other on the weekends like crazy and eating.

The author wrote the two of them eating so many times in this book that I lost count. And violet always keeps saying “ this food taste good”. Everytime Adam introduces her to a new restaurant or new food, that is her response.

Also violet has no backbone for a heroine. She keeps putting Adam on a pedestal and groveling at his feet, accepting any scraps that he throws her way. Women should hold their heads up high and have good self esteem which she does not have.

Unfortunately this book fell flat for me because there was really no storyline, no plot, and basically no climax in order for it to keep me intrigued. It started off well with lots of potential to turn into a great read but the author did not keep the momentum going to have kept me interested.

I don’t think I was reading the same book as all the other reviewers here that exclaimed how wonderful this was. I found it extremely hard to become invested in the story between Violet who is a virginal paralegal that has these glorified fantasies that she is a submissive slave who submits to her Master the Prince. I just found the narration about these fantasies very boring and childlike especially for a woman Violet’s age even though she is still a Virgin. Enter Adam who is a very young but powerful lawyer who meets Violet when they bump into each other in a Revolving Door. What transpires between them is not what I would consider erotica and their exchange (except for the explicit sexual nature) could be misconstrued as notes back and forth between two young high school students. I really tried to like this book but it was definitely not for me, even more so when I found it ended so abruptly with the author expecting the reader to immediately want to start Book 2 (I will not be doing so) to find out what happens with these two. If you want a book that will help you fall asleep after reading a few chapters then this is the book for you.

*3.5 STARS*

This book was an ok read for me. When I started this book all I was thinking was how the writing style was rather different. I don't know how to explain the writing style the author uses, ummm, formal? Yes, I felt as though the author was being extremely "formal" with her writing. At first I thought it would get better, but it didn't. It was for the entire book. Now, I'm not saying it was terrible! I'm just saying that if I'm reading a story, I want the story and actions done by the characters to flow throughout the story. When I was reading it was not doing that, and I was tempted to stop reading 5 chapters in.

The story was original to a point as well. I saw a lot of similarities to Fifty Shades Of Gray. So while reading I got bored sometimes because I felt like I've read it before.

This book was erotic, even though I didn't really like the writing style, the scenes written in the book was written quite well.

Overall I give this book 3.5 stars.

I really just could make it into this book! I only made it to 19%, and maybe that is too early to DNF a book but I simple just couldn't do it anymore. There characters drove me crazy, there was nothing going for either character. Violet was annoying and kind of a pain, Adam was too emotionally detached to even begin to form a connection with. This book also reminded me too much of Fifty Shades as well as the Crossfire series, and I have no problem enjoying books with these stereotypical hot shot dominant men. The difference however, is that in Solid Stone I really didn't enjoy the characters or what they were doing within the book. I really do feel like there was a lot of lost potential here, and it could have been great. However, for me it just wasn't.

I really wanted to like this more. The plot was a good story plot and one I usually really enjoy, I just could not like the main character. She felt to me like a junior high girl with her first crush, and was really annoying. I found myself rolling my eyes as she panics at being asked to sign an NDA but has no problem with him asking her if she is on birth control, and after one date she is like he is the one and wants to text him and waits around for his call, and is upset that he doesn't call her his girlfriend. It did improve towards the end of the book. I did not know this was a sort of cliffhanger, but I'm still debating whether to read the next or not.

This was a highly sexual book. I really enjoyed how Violet and Adam met and the automatic connection they had with each other. If you like a lot of sexist a great storyline then this book is for you. And of course you can't have the good without the bad. Violet and Adam had their fair share of bad times. So this is not a totally happy book.

In the style of Fifty Shades of Grey, Solid Stone features an awkward but supposedly smart early twenty-something virgin who meets a late twenty-something control freak/super successful man. Except, I found Violet childish, Adam dull, and the sexy bits wooden.

I found the premise of this story intriguing. Who doesn’t love a billionaire alpha-male? Meet Violet Cole the innocent paralegal who unwittingly catches the attention of a legal-God in the form of Adam Stone.

I loved the synopsis for this book. It certainly focuses the attention of its readers towards an explosive connection between a “self-admitted control freak” and a woman with “untapped beauty”. For me it certainly set the scene for what looked to be an intense story. From the excitement of the synopsis though, I struggled to find that magic pull to draw me into the story and to enable me to connect emotionally with the characters.

At times, Adam’s role in this story was all too familiar. I appreciate it’s difficult for an author to strike new ground in this genre but I was turning the pages in the hope that a plot twist would turn Solid Stone into something really memorable. There is a fine balance when developing a character’s personality trait, especially when the character has a huge ego and whilst Adam’s character was at times swoon-worthy, I felt that his demanding personality was occasionally lost on me. I actually felt proud of Violet for making a stand against him towards the end of the book and so I found it slightly jarring when I turned the page and she was crawling back to him begging for his forgiveness! Whilst this did irritate me, it did set the scene for the next instalment with Violet and Adam’s sexual relationship heading into uncharted waters.

I found Violet quite a likeable character. She possessed a sweet vulnerability which I guess was in part due to her being a virgin. What I really didn’t like about how the writer handled her virginity was the fact that she deemed her not to be a woman until she was “de-flowered”. [Is it me or is that such an unpleasant term?] Since Adam loved Violet for her candour though, we soon witness her confidence blossom with Adam [apologies for yet another horticultural references, I blame Violet!] and her inner strength was soon apparent.

From a slightly shaky start, with far too many sentences beginning with “I”, I felt that the author grew into her writing and despite still feeling that sentences could have carried more emotion and finesse, I started to settle into the story with more ease. Overall this book could really have benefited from some twists and turns and I felt that Violet and Adam’s relationship was certainly heading that way with the introduction of one of Adam’s ex’s but sadly this was dismissed all too quickly but saying that, secrets could still emerge to give the next instalment more depth and an all-round explosiveness.

Sadly for me, [and I’ll probably be in the minority here!] this story was too much about sex and not enough about the plot. I found myself skipping some of the sex scenes as I felt I had endured enough and I appreciate that at least one sex scene was left to our imagination with that old favourite “less is more” approach.

So, will I read on in this series? Possibly, but pure erotica is never an attractive genre for me so I hope the author aims to develop a more in-depth storyline packed with emotion. You know us readers, we like to be shocked and need to be left wanting more!

This is my first book by E.G. Patrick and I can honestly say I have no idea what to think, don’t get me wrong the story is great, Violet is amazing but I’m not sure about the rest of it. For example, when I was reading through I noticed that sometimes there wasn’t enough context to fill in with each scene. When creating a story, you need to make sure that when you are filling in the scenes that all the right details are included otherwise it won’t work to its full potential, it just seemed like there was always something lacking. Another example is that the lead guy character Adam, I just couldn’t find myself loving him as much as I loved Violet. I get that his life is so different from hers and that he’s grown used to the way he’s built his life. However, the way he repeats himself at times, I just don’t see the need for it, you can only say the same thing so many times before you start to get tired of seeing it. I also understand the fact that he is slowly adapting his lifestyle for Violet, yes, that’s such a big step for him, but I honestly think he could give her a bit more of a break. All Violet has done, is be there for him, be understanding and do as he asks, yet he still carries on making life seem impossible for her.

There does seem to be a few unanswered questions that leave you wondering what is actually happening, For example, twice during the book you read that Violet gets a message from an unknown sender, yet she presumes these are advertising people. Yet, I don’t seem to get why she doesn’t mention anything to Adam because surly these messages are about him considering he is the only other guy she seems to be spending time with. Yet the fact she doesn’t shocks me as if this was happening to myself, then the first thing that I would do is mention it to the guy I’m seeing and see what he thought about it as honestly, it’s not exactly normal to receive chilling messages like these about someone. There are a few others that I could bring up but honestly, I feel like I could be here for a while.
At times, it did seem like this book was rushed and it did show sometimes through the writing, it’s a shame because this book could have been done really well and been really amazing, more amazing than it is now.

Bearing in mind, I do have to give E.G. Patrick some credit because she did write an intriguing plot/ story which did keep me reading until the end. I am interested to see what happens next as I can see that this series has potential.

*I was invited to read this book by the author and given an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

When I received Solid Stone I knew it had already been published so I avoided reading any of the blurbs about it or looking up any of the info pertaining to the author so I could go into it with a completely open mind. Its not often I get to do that with a brand new author that I have never been acquainted with so that in itself was exciting. EG Patrick, from her emails, seemed like a complete sweetheart - letting me choose a date for my review (Valentine's Day - since its a love story) and even sending me an autographed copy of the paperback version for the display case in my office!

The book starts with Violet Cole, a paralegal who meets the uber hot, ultra successful Adam Stone - literally in a revolving door. Her laptop bag gets stuck in the door and traps him in one side of it. Later she realizes that he is the big shot who she will be in several meetings with for the next few months as her work assigns. They are instantly attracted to each other and Adam wastes no time letting Violet know his intentions. Here is where I ran into an issue. I was a bit concerned that this book was taking too much of a FSOG turn. There were a few things at this point in the story that were very, very similar to FSOG. Almost fan-fic like. But, soon the issue was resolved and on we went.
The entire book is really very beautifully written. Even the cover is pretty. Ms. Patrick certainly knows how to develop three dimensional characters that suck you into their story. I loved Violet. She was so innocent but willing to give it all up for Adam. She was kind, loving and oh so trusting with her heart. I worried about her because for many chapters Adam just wasnt my favorite character ever. He seemed almost... cold and a bit guarded. Of course, I ended up just as in love with him as I was Violet. At the end of the story I realized that this is the first book in a series that will tell the story of these two so just be warned... This story is NOT OVER!

EG Patrick wrote a great book in Solid Stone. I give it 5 WickedGoodStars and will be recommending it to my fellow readers who love a hot, steamy story!

Violet Cole, a recent university graduate, is rushing to her first important business meeting when she comes face-to-face with a man she finds captivating and intimidating. His penetrating gaze makes her heart pound and her legs tremble. Violet learns that the wealthy and alluring Adam Stone is renowned for his success in the high-powered corporate world. He now consumes all of Violet’s thoughts.

A self-admitted control freak, Adam becomes intrigued by Violet’s untapped beauty and fierce honesty. He is determined to possess all of her. They embark on a passionate odyssey that is exhilarating and tantalizing. As their relationship intensifies, Adam and Violet must confront serious contradictions between them. How far is Violet willing to go to keep their relationship alive? Long-kept secrets are exposed leading to a surprising and explosive climax.

3 stars***

When I read the blurb for this book, I was really excited. I love books of this genre and I love cocky arrogant alpha males. So with that in mind, I was kindly approved to read it from the publisher.

So as you can read in the blurb, the main characters are Violet and Adam. I didn't really take to either character. Violet was a little naive and whiny and Adam seemed a little bipolar. The way he spoke didn't sit with his age and whilst I'm aware that a lot of younger men can talk with a lot of wisdom, this just didn't ring true for Adam. He contradicted himself a lot. I'm sure the author thought this would add depth to his character but for me it turned me off.

The chemistry that Adam and Violet had was ok, but they seemed to be at wars with each other more than they clicked and I found Ann and Violets relationship (as best friends) not that best 'friendy.'

I really did like the storyline and that sort of saved it for me. The writing style was good too and I do enjoy stories in the first person. The author has definitely got the plot right it just overall didn't click, for me, anyway.

I would however read other books by this author.

Happy Reading :-)

I was kindly given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing debut novel by this author!! Let me just start out by saving too funny on how this book got its title. I would die of embarrassment if this happened to me with a hot alpha guy (oh this happened to me just not like this, I got a crazy "what are you a blonde look" and he was old and not attractive haha).
We meet, Violet who has a hap stance run with Mr. Stone though she does not know this yet. After many weeks they meet again and begin a start of something new for both of them. Violet who has a secret to bear and Adam (AKA Mr. Stone) who doesn't do relationships per say and keeps a girl at most under six months. The first weekend spent together is beyond amazing for both of them (lucky her cause it could have been a horrible experience). They pursue a go at just being together. Violet will take what she can get at this time with Mr. Stone. Though the one secret was discovered there is still one big one she keeps mum on until the time is right. When is the time you say? Well read on and discover when she has to up her anty and show him just what her secret was and how she can be who he needs.
Let's just say that this book is beyond panty melting and that wink alone he gives her will have you checking down under. lol We meet, Gia and her prince as well in this story. Gia and the prince are the yin to the yang for Violet and Adam is how you can think of them. You will hit many stones reading this-whether it be a door, a body or hard head it ness on both of them, but so worth the stone being thrown your way. You will feel tipsy from all the wine and wet from the passion that is between Violet and Adam. You will panic towards the end trust me on where this may go and no no it cannot end just yet. I need to get my hands on book two to see what transpires. For those of you who may not like being left wondering what transpires you may want to purchase both books at one time so you can dive right into the next book. This book is definitely a book recommended for 2016 to be read or any year in the future really. You will not be disappointed. We all need a Mr. Stone in our life. This story was on fire the whole time.

I'm not sure how to articulate my feelings on this particular book. Since I gave it a four star rating, I obviously enjoyed it.

My biggest dilemma is how I feel about Violet. Let me start at the ending first. By the end of the story I begin to like Violets character but here, let me back track and explain Violet. Violets character is a 23 year old woman who is a history major and a paralegal. With that said it tells that her character is intelligent yet when she meets Adam Stone, her character's behavior is that of a teenage girl with her first crush. Even after all they do together she still seems so immature. I had a hard time understanding this. She has very erotic dreams and fantasies of become a character by the name of Gia. This revelation is not introduced to later in their relationship but we do experience her dreams pretty much from the beginning of the book.

Adam is older than Violet with a lot more sexual experience behind him (which only enhances his ability in the bedroom, boardroom, kitchen and such). He finds himself attracted to her with a deep fascination. He proposes a relationship of sorts with Violet which builds into more (even if he can't admit it). The journey from deflowering Violet to the cliff hanger at the end is very sexual. Admittedly this book is mostly of a sexual nature (not that I will complain) but there are hints that there is more to Adam than meets the eye. As we end with a cliff hanger that ends with Violet putting her darkest desires out their for Adam, it gives us incite into what the next book may offer.

I liked the story and Adam very much. Violet I have mixed feelings on. Her behavior is very immaturely at times with a show of a tantrum or two. Her behavior reads as if she is much younger than her years but I have a feeling things are about to change and I look forward to seeing where the author leads us in the next book.

Violet and Adam...This book has a lot of potential with a slow growing, sexy introduction in book one. Adam can easily be up there in the top five of your favorite book boyfriends after we see where this story goes in book two Odyssey. Without giving too much away to a scene toward the end of the book, it's just getting good, I mean that sexually, real good.

Violet, is a history major, last minute took a course to certify her as a paralegal and lands a job at a small firm. Adam Stone, is a corporate lawyer, loaded, beyond intelligent, handsome, body we all love and he's all about control. There's reasons for it and I strongly suggest you download this read to find out the reasons behind them.

Light BDSM, Cliffhanger, yes but a real good one, cheating, no, threesomes, no, good storyline, absolutely, the ending leaves you so excited for book 2 "Stone:Solid, Odyssey". Secondary characters are good and there but the main focus is on the hero and heroine. Sexy, oh yeah and by the ending it gets hot! Typos, there are some but so what, please, they can and should easily be overlooked. This is a new author in this genre I recommend all to support her. Download today.
