I've been listening to Dr. Bob Barnes' podcast, Parenting On Purpose for a while. It has become my favorite commute radio activity. I often joke that he is my Mentor through radio because his advice and wisdom on parenting and marriage are incredibly valuable in my life. Naturally It was time for me to read one of his books. I found Rock Solid Marriage offers the same wisdom he (and his wife) give weekly on his podcast, with practical advice and an easy readable format. There are resources for further reading at the end of each chapter, which is great! Having listened to all the available episodes online, I felt like a good deal of the material covered had been touched upon previously while listening, only the book allows for a deeper look, discussion/reflection topics and a summary to reference again and again.
