Eden #2

Unexpected Eden

Rate this book
Pyrotechnics expert, Serena Upton, wonders if she’s been transported into one of the science fiction movies she works on. It certainly seems so when she’s rescued by three hot, naked men from another planet. She’s whisked away to Loraleaf, their home in the jungle of Eden, with the expectation that she will become their beloved. As they cater to her in every way, she begins to understand what it means to be their chosen one. Jahl and Khaos risked everything, even the brother of their heart, to bring Serena home, but grief and self-doubt, etched in stone by their own families, seems insurmountable. Their only hope is that she can fill the void in their lives. They succeed in sweeping her up in their erotic passion, but they are unable to capture her heart. Though Serena cares for Jahl and Khaos, she’s convinced she’s not the answer to their damaged souls. It’s better that she return to her family on Earth before she cares too much. That is, if she doesn’t already.

Imagine if you will a paradise of hawt men…hawt naked men…who devote themselves to caring for their beloved Chosen One. In Unexpected Eden, Lexi Post creates a world where this is the norm, and you, dear reader, will desperately be looking for a way to open a portal to Eden. This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone, but to get the full experience, you should really read them both.

Serena and Toni are the very best of friends. Working on a movie set, they find themselves attacked and their lives are in mortal danger. In steps three hotties that save and transport them to their planet Eden. Jahl, Khaos and Sandale are closer than brothers and have been watching over Serena, their beloved, for years waiting for the perfect time to bond with her. Grave circumstances cause them to portal to Earth to save her and her best friend, Toni. No spoilers, so you will have to read for yourself to see if they find a way to tempt Serena to bond with them and stay in Eden, or will all be lost to them if she refuses their love and devotion and returns to Earth.

I loved this story!! I will say that I cannot wait for Toni’s book (yes, I’ve already begged and pleaded with the author)! Highly recommend this series!!

Former classics teacher Lexi Post has two things that make her stand out as a romance author: great writing chops and an incredible imagination. How else to explain her use of Emily Dickinson's poem, "Apotheosis" as inspiration for an interplanetary sci-fi menage romance? Human Serena is a pyrotechnics technician who does special effects for sci-fi movies. Her friend Toni is a stuntwoman. When they are threatened with gang rape on a film set one day, three huge and handsome men show up, beat down the bad guys, and save the ladies - by transporting them to their home planet, Eden! The traumatic incident sets up far-reaching consequences for the three alien men, for Serena and Toni, and for the future of the settlement on Eden where they live. Without spoilers, I have to say the menage romance is super-hot, but not my favorite aspect of the novel. What really floats my boat is Post's sympathetic, and deeply insightful depiction of her characters, especially the influence of their early life experiences on their adult choices and behaviors. This is a stunningly character-driven story that draws the reader into emotional intimacy, makes the menage believable, and fuels interest in the continuation of the Eden series. I will certainly be reading them all.

Unexpected Eden is a fabulous sci-fi romance by Lexi Post. Ms. Post has given readers a real treat in this planet-hopping tale. The cast of characters are imaginative and, dare I say it, stellar. Jahl, Khaos and Sandale open a portal to rescue their chosen one when she is attacked. Her best friend ends up being rescued with her. Serena is a pyrotechnic technician and her friend Tori is a stunt woman. Serena takes a little longer than her friend Tori to accept they are on another planet, populated with naked men. Sandale was shot during the escape from Earth and they believe he's dead after hiding him and rushing to get him help. Jahl, Khaos and Serena's story is loaded with drama, humor, action, smokin' hot sex and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series. Unexpected Eden is book 2 of the Eden Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Saviours or kidnappers?

Eden is so warm and humid that the men walk around naked. The Eden concept is good but for that one point! Men think too much of their dangly bits to leave them swaying in the wind and unprotected! Look around the world and back through history and you’ll notice that even the most primitive tribes protect themselves. Maybe the women from Earth will change them although, if they’ve been like this for the past thousand or so years, they will no doubt stay the same! it would certainly make them more vulnerable to a small woman! LOL!
Despite that, the Eden series is quite good fun but I do think that the men need some lessons on what to do once they’ve found their Chosen one. It’s not as if they can’t visit Earth and introduce themselves. I do like the fact that each book seems to written around a different Emily Dickinson poem. Only suitable for people who are into erotica.

I must say that I don’t normally read SCI-FI, but I have gotten hooked on the Eden series by Lexi Post. This is the story of Serena, a movie pyrotechnics expert, and the filos that selected her, Jahl, Khaos and Sandale. But when the guys rescue Serena and her friend Toni from a group of rapists outside a movie set, Sandale gets wounded and is then left behind in the jungle and presumed dead. Jahn and Khaos work to convince Serena to choose them and stay but are also dealing with their grief at the loss of Sandale.
The descriptions of Loraleaf and the imagery used is fantastic. Loraleaf is a world that would be wonderful to explore if it were real. Lexi Post has a writing style that draws the reader in. I love her writing! Excellent story with my highest recommendation.

I was gifted an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

This is the second book in Eden series you can read this series in order or as a standalone which i did.

When i got this book i was excited too see what type of writer Lexi Post is and after finishing this book i had my answer..... she's a great writer.

Serena Upton has to wonders if she has been transported into one of the science fiction movies that she works on with her pyrotechnics skill. It definitely seems just that when she and her friend Toni are rescued by three sexy, hot, naked men from another planet. Serena is whisked away to there home Loraleaf which is in the jungle of Eden, with the expectations of the men that she will become their beloved. Know they are catering to her in every single way, she soon begins to understand the meaning of what it is to be their chosen one.

Jahl and Khaos have risked everything, even the brother of their hearts Sandale, to bring there beloved Serena home, but there grief and self-doubt, which has been pounded in to them by there own families, seems overwhelming. Their only real hope is that Serena can fill the empty space in their lives. They both progress in sweeping her up in their brand of erotic passion, but they have yet to capture her heart.

Though Serena has feelings deep down for both of these amazing men Jahl and Khaos, she is convinced that she is not the answer to their damaged souls. she comes to the decision that it’s better that she return to her family on Earth before she cares too much and cant let go.

That is if she hasn't already lost her heart to them.

Id love to visit Eden with all these handsome men needing there beloved to make them whole again....... sign me up :)

This book brought a whole new world to me as well as steamy hot romance and sex scenes that made me spontaneously combust.... Lexi has mad skills as well as an amazing imagination, to say i was impressed is an understatement.

We also have the added bonus of what will Toni get up to in the next book as well as what really has happened to Sandale.... i am on the edge of my seat to find out.

An outstanding read.

This second book in an original series is just fascinating and deliciously sexy! Serena Upton is a special effects artist that specializes in pyrotechnic effects in sci-fi movies. When she's rescued by some really delicious men she finds herself on another world. Jahl, Khaos and Sandale are a brotherhood family and rulers of Loraleaf in the jungle on Eden. Sandale has been injured and Jahl & Khaos fear he is dead. They take Serena to their community in the trees of Eden's jungle. They set out to convince Serena to stay with them as their mate while she's torn leaving her family. Things are not all they seem in town and these good men have been exiled or forced from the city.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. I also own a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lexi Post’s second book in the Eden series, Unexpected Eden. Ms. Post has created a phenomenal world where sexy, hunky men completely devoted to their “Chosen One” is the norm. Jahl and Khaos are no different than any other Edenist, willing to risk everything for the right woman. Serena Upton doesn’t quite know what to think when Jahl, Khaos and their brother of the heart, Sandahl, rescue her from a dangerous situation and bring her to their jungle planet. She’s even more confused when they tell her she is their Beloved—and their hope for the future.

Take a moment and let yourself be drawn into this wonderful world of hot, sizzling sex and handsome, totally naked men. You won’t regret it.
