George Konrád was a Hungarian novelist and essayist. Konrád was born in Berettyóújfalu, near Debrecen into an affluent Jewish family. He graduated in 1951 from the Madách Secondary School in Budapest, entered the Lenin Institute and eventually studied literature, sociology and psychology at Eötvös Loránd University. In 1956 he participated in the Hungarian Uprising against the Soviet occupation.

No iba a escribir review pero solo hay otra reseña aparte de esta y me parece bien vaga. Deslegitimar el samizdat por criticar la burocracia soviética... rompedor.
Tengo muchos pensamientos (ya solo por eso el libro quizás merezca mejor valoración), pero el principal es que es una propuesta muy prometedora que, sin embargo, no siempre da tanto como promete.
Especialmente la primera parte y tesis principal me ha resultado muy útil e interesante y me encantaría que algunos de vosotros lo leyeseis y hablásemos de las quejas que tienen Konrád y Szelenyi, sus debilidades y lo que tenga más interés.
