Dating Games is an emotionally charged and thought provoking story that explores the complexities of family dynamics, love, revenge and the consequences of one’s actions. 4.5⭐️ I unexpectedly ate this tf up! I typically despise slow burns but I appreciated the build up of getting to know the characters before their stories intertwined. The author’s writing style is descriptive enough to feel like you’re watching a movie but not so overdone that you get bored mid-paragraph. I was honestly in shock that either of these characters managed to have somewhat of a happy ending after all they had been through. My only beef is that some of the women in this book were so weak at times you could tell it was written by a man 🙄 lol. But overall, this was a good time.
Read this book in 2004 when it was newer and bought it because I connected with the story. Now many years later, I read it again and going through different life experiences, it had different meanings to me but it speaks to real life. It speaks to games people play, consequences both unintended and intended happening, and the need to see deep into a person. Would have loved to see a follow up to this story as my imagination can run in many directions as to what happens with each character.
I'm not gonna say that I necessarily loved this book because this is one of the first books that I've read that had some of the weakest characters that i had the displeasure of reading about, it really shouldn't have taken to getting close to the end where ppl started to grow some balls..lol my opinion of course.
I am currently reading this book and so far so good-the twin sisters are completey different from eachother, like day and night, but one thing they have in common are dating games faced with differnt people...ABANDONED
This was my 2nd book by R.M., and I don't know if I like his writing style or not. However, this book was pretty good. Sometimes I really like the characters, other times I didn't. But all in alll, great read......Kamee
