These are stories about people, places and events in weird and wonderful Florida. They are told in bite-size capsules that are fun and educational. They’re told by Mr. Clark, one of Florida’s best historians and educators. He witnessed many modern historic events in his previous life as the top editor of The Orlando Sentinel. A perfect book for Florida residents, newcomers, snowbirds and visitors.

I was hoping to find something easy (and relatively linear) to better understand the state's history, but I think books like this are partly responsible for the lifelong dumbing down of 2nd graders, because I suspect the target audience here is remedial-reading for seven-year-olds.

This is a further case of an author with his hands in too many pots. Also, my friend Donna knows him personally and says he's a jerk.
