Addresses the special conditioning needs of swimmers, including specific exercises for various strokes, for starts, turns and tapering plans. This book includes sample conditioning plans for younger swimmers, competitive swimmers, masters swimmers and even triathletes.
Too general for a professional coach, but for a sports enthusiast or athlete who needs a solid base to progress: quite useful. In many ways, Complete Conditioning for Swimming reminded me of Stuart M. McGill's work, and that was extra sweet. Warmly recommended! I'll be picking this one up for reference again and again.
The swimming 101 for swimmers who want to either perform better or become healthier by finishing water training, dry land training and gaining nutrition scientifically, good reference. However, for the swimming enthusiasts, enjoyment is the most critical reason to keep in good exercise adherence.

Good information about conditioning and helpful exercises that will be good for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Most helpful for me was the section in the back on planning the season so that swimmers will be ready for the end-of-season conference meet. Very useful book.
