This book is an amazing collection of translations from across the Roman World. It offers a small group of documents from each aspect of the Roman Army, but it is not comprehensive. Only English is offered, so one must find the sources in order to read them in Latin (or occasionally, Greek). However, the book is well-organized and analytic in its approach. Useful to student and scholar alike.
