A girl's night out turns super sexy and super hot quite quickly when sensible introvert, Maya lock lips with a super gorgeous stranger. On a dare, Maya schmooze’s the sexy Jamie Sellers and let me tell you, the sparks between them could have melted steel—wow! I really enjoyed the storyline. It's fresh and sassy and the characters are realistically portrayed that it's hard to imagine this is J. Margot Critch's debut novel. Maya reminds me of me at the opening of chapter one. Her inward thoughts m

The book was an absolute perfection until I reached 99.9 % and as a result it can never be a five star to me .
The plus !
The chemistry was good .
The HEA was fantastic
The characters were well developed and well described.
The pace and plot of the story was excellent .And I felt engaged in the story for real !
And a absolutely round of applause to the author for not including cheating or mind games in this story because I refuse to pay for that type of crap.

Rarely do I like the hero way more than the heroine but this is what happened. The beginning and meet cute was well done, their attraction and suppressed sexual tension was delicious ! It was steamy but once they got serious, things went downhill.

According to the author, a Blaze heroine was strong, and ironically Maya was not. She's ambitious career wise, but she ran away at the slightest obstacle. She gave up on Jamie not once but TWICE. He was totally justified in not laying it all out by prof

It all started with a dare. Maya went up to a guy in a bar on the dare of her friend and kissed the daylights out of him. She was embarrassed but enjoyed the kiss..Little did she know she would be seeing him the next day..Jamie ends up hiring her as his assistant..he thinks he probably shouldn't have but they work really well together..there are sparks that just jump though the more time they spend together..on a trip to Vegas they go with those sparks and it ends up a fire but on the day of ann ...more
Started out OK, but devolved into old-fashioned Harlequin Presents style plot. Not my cup of tea...

It could have been so good…

This sounded like just my sort of Blaze - hot, sexy and just a little bit naughty. Sex in the office? Yes, please!

I wasn’t disappointed as soon as I started to read - I just adored Maya. She was fun, feisty but also a card-carrying introvert and I felt an immediate kinship with her. Her first interactions with Jamie were cute, sexy and also very realistic. Apologising for kissing him was genius!

From the start I also really enjoyed the writing style. It was quirk

When I read romance novels I tend to gravitate toward historical or paranormal genres not contemporary but this one was still a decent, entertaining read.
