Shelves: steampunk, 2018
Page-turning, political, clockpunk, quick reads with lots of crazy ideas and insane worldbuilding. Highly enjoyable.
The structure of these books are really interesting as the protagonists are never the ones driving the political storms forward, they are trying to ride it out as best the can. I do really enjoy them but it makes it very different from the mostly american books I am used to.
There are some amazing ideas both for devices and for worldbuilding in this series and they are really enjoy

Although not as good as the first book, I enjoyed this second book a lot.
The main characters from the first book were present, but not as central to the story. Also, it was kind of sad to have the happy ending from the first book ruined. They both make a lot of mistakes in this book and it's not happy at all.
On the other hand, our new characters Christopher and Joe were fantastic! Their story was hilarious and really interesting. I would have loved to hear more of their adventures.
