1 Night Stand: Love Sisters Series

Rate this book
Sista Love was a chart-topping girl group that had it all—fame, fortune and failure. Harmony, Melody, and Lyric haven’t seen each other since their group broke up three years ago, but when tragedy strikes, the sisters have no choice but to face each other again.

Harmony retreated from the limelight and lives a modest life in the suburbs with her new husband, an ex–child star and recovering drug addict. Harmony wants nothing more than to be a wife and mother, but when news of her mother’s sudden death forces Harmony and her sisters back together, she will have to confront a painful past that she tried desperately to leave behind.

Melody abandoned her sisters for a solo career and is now a wealthy mega-star who tours the world, buys whatever her heart desires, and lives in the spotlight. The world loves her and her fans worship her. She usually stops at nothing to get what she wants. Just as she gets set to kick off her 1 Night Stand Tour, news of her mother’s death derails her plans and forces her to confront the one thing all of her money can’t erase—her sisters and her past.

Lyric has been reduced to a D-list celebrity trying to make it back to the top. She lives for the rush of the nightlife and would do anything for attention. When she gets word of her mother’s death, Lyric’s painful past and an unwanted reunion with her sisters send her spiraling out of control.

Will the Love sisters let their past hurt, lies, and deceit destroy them, or will they manage to put it all behind them and be a family once and for all?

this book was easy to read and fast paced. McCall gives a glimpse into the personal lives of the music group Sister Love. The three sisters are Harmony, Melody, and Lyric. the author did a good job with character development of these 3 sisters. Full of drama and deceit. I cant wait to read book 2

1 Night Stand open with drama, pain, lies and deceit. From this captivated title to the well-developed characters I truly relish in this book. The writer had my truly hypnotized with the Love Sisters and their world. Take a look at the description found on
"Sista Love was a chart-topping girl group that had it all—fame, fortune and failure. Harmony, Melody, and Lyric haven’t seen each other since their group broke up three years ago, but when tragedy strikes, the sisters have no choice but to face each other again.
The first page 1 Night Stand hypnotized the reader to enter the worlds of Harmony Love, Melody Love, and Lyric Love a world that was built on emotional, physical, and mental abuse at the hands of their mother Ava Love. This book had a plot that was very relatable. The ups and downs that the sister's experienced throughout this book kept me on an exhilarating ride that I was not mentally nor emotionally prepared for.
This emotional showpiece of a book was full of characters that the readers will relate to. As I was reading this novel, I felt like I was watching a movie play out on the big screen instead of on the pages of a book. The Love Sisters took me by the hand and lead me on a journey with them as they each told their stories of drug abuse, fear of real love, and self centerless. The Love Sisters were so methodically created that they jump off the page into my heart soul, and had me crying , laughing and praying for their breakthrough as well as their healing of their pasts.
With the grace and skills Veteran Author Amaleka McCall took on topics that readers could relate to but most Authors would have stayed away from writing, and deliver them with such class. The message that will hit home with the readers is "A person is a product of their environment, and hurt people will hurt others".
1Night Stand is a 5 star read that every avid reader so definitely read... Hats off to Amaleka McCall...

AWESOME READ!!!
This book takes you on a emotional roller coaster of love/hate between sisters. Nobody deserves a mother like Ava Love (mommy dearest). Harmony and Lyric love them they showed what sister love is made off after all they been though they still had a bond but they need to stay from Melody. Ava created a monster(Melody) and the way she did her kids was so terrible. This book make you feel their pain. CAN'T WAIT PART 2

Story of three sisters in a singing group, Harmony, Melody, and Lyric. Their mother, Ava, was a former singer and wanted her girls to make it big. She favored Melody and treated her better. She didn't love Lyric bc she was dark skinned. She got the girls a record deal by offering her 14yo daughter Lyric to a Record Executive who later got her pregnant. He also died while on top of her. So basically Lyric is messed up. Ava messed up all the girls.
When the book starts the girls had not been in contact for sometime. Ava dies and they come together to bury her.
The book is good. Melody is a piece of shit. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I almost don't want to read the next one because of how bad Melody hurts Harmony. I don't want to read about her discovering the betrayal.

Great Book. This Is The Perfect Example Of Why It’s Important That Parents Don’t Show Favoritism Amongst Their Children. Melody Has Everything And Is Living In Hell. Lyric Is On The Train Of Self Sabotage. Harmony Thought She Was Living A Comfortable Life But Shit Is Crumbling Around Her Because Her The Way Her Mother Raised Her. I Can’t Stand Ava Love Or Melody Ass. But I Feel Harmony Is The Only One To Get This Family Back On Track.

Wow! With a mother like Ava Love . . . it's a wonder these sisters had not taken one another out by now! Talk about a dysfunctional family!

Very good read that grabs you from the beginning!

Too short and didn't like the quick ending. You have to read next book in order to know what happens.
