The bizarre eternal being, Scorch, rears his mischievous head, placing Venir and Melegal at odds in a series of fights that are life or death.
Fogle, Brak and Jubilee find themselves way off the rendezvous point with Venir and Kam only to wind up in a camp full of thugs and thieves. Brak faces off against an old enemy, the ogre that broke his back, Gondoon Stoneskin.
Led by Boon, Billip, Georgio, Lefty and Nikkel, fight alongside the Jung and the Striders, only to suffer heavy loses at the hands of the underlings.
As the underlings continue to flood the above ground cities, Master Sidebor, at odds with his son, Master Sinway, finds an unlikely ally in a magnificent underling woman called Elypsa.

Trouble Abounds!
Well, “Bish happened!” Did it ever! In Torment and Terror, the fifth volume of Craig Halloran's “The Darkslayer Series 2,” everybody is in some kind of trouble, some deeper than others. There is plenty of room for reader sympathy, frustration, and righteous indignation! No holds barred!
Fair warning: there is no time for rest in this fast-moving book! Be prepared to turn pages as fast as you can. Don't forget to brew a pot of coffee, or whatever, before you even start. A pile of snacks nearby will save you some trouble later. Author Craig Halloran went above and beyond the call of duty to make this volume rich with suspense and excitement!

January 17, 2020(Read the first book in the The Darkslayer: Bish and Bone series, 'Bish and Bone'. Didn't enjoy, therefore will not be continuing with the series.)

The Darkslayer almost loses it this time
If you've been following this story, then you'll be shocked to see what happens in this ongoing story. So many friends die, or do they???? You have to read this book to KNOW for sure.
Scorch has really messed things up by supporting the underlings which certainly causes more humans to die. A LOT more.
Just keep reading and hope Mr. Halloran just keeps putting the GREAT stories out.

Lefty and Georgio better not be dead! These books keep you hanging on! Easy books to read after the first 3, characters are real and complicated just enough to keep you turning the pages! The underlying woman warrior with violet eyes died way too soon!
