The last chapter is a huge list of phonetic owl calls and descriptive side notes such as "a bloodcurdling cry like a woman calling for help," "described as between a scream and a whistle...like the sound of a falling bomb" and, "uttering weird screeches." It was my favorite chapter

Nice mix of photos and illustrations. However, of the stack of owl books we checked out, this one did not capture kiddo's attention. Perhaps we'll read it at a later date.
