* Mark Murray a soap star is found dead in a hotel room. He's been starring in a play, so all his co-stars are questioned.
* A teenage girl called Tamara confesses to the murder, but her story doesn't make sense, so she's released.
* Then the co-star (Anna) goes missing, and is later found dead. Again everybody is questioned, but they still don't know who did it. The ex-girlfriend he met in a restaurant? The writer of the play? A jealous husband?
* Chris Dylan then discovers dark hair in the back of Anna's understudy's car, and she eventually confesses to the murder.
* The ex-girlfriend (Gill) then turns up and tells them that it really was Tamara who did it, and the sneaky solicitor (Jagger) got her off. Apparently Mark slept with Tamara whilst going out with Gill, and Tamara was Gill's 15-year-old little sister. It let to the family breaking up.
* Meanwhile, Neil found out that Melanie was cheating on him, and then she broke up with him. Clare went back to helping CID after her time off because of her ankle. Ben seemed to be fairly happy with Julie although we didn't really hear much from him, and Ruth was hardly mentioned at all. Clare got drunk and slept with Neil, but he realised that he didn't love Clare anymore, and wanted Melanie back.
