Recounts the history of rug hooking, introduces a number of designers and rug makers, discusses equipment and techniques, and provides instructions for projects in a variety of styles
This is the first book I bought when I became interested in rug hooking in the mid-1990s, and I still think it's one of the best introductions for anyone interested in the craft. This book contains a gallery of contemporary artists with gorgeous colour plates, an excellent section on techniques, a number of projects, and an appendix of patterns taken from the books of Kent, Kopp & Kopp, and McGown.
