This just may be the Erotica Book of the Year. Okay, okay, you know I'm a bit prejudiced when it comes to Callie. I mean, she's a big-titted sexpot with red hair so how could I possible retits, err, resist? Really, to be honest, I can't. However, that doesn't take away from the absolute masterpiece she's written here. It's a halloween tale, but it's so much more than that.

I'm genuinely shocked by how much fun this book was. I wasn't sure at first about the fusion of Stephen King style cosmic horror and rural nastiness with Clive Barker style erotic horror and dark sexuality, but it worked somehow. The porn was, well, porn, but it didn't overwhelm the sense of character and distinct personalities that horror of this sort lives and dies by.
