This novel is my most precious work. It took fourteen months to complete from conception to final manuscript. This novel started out as a 1,700 word fiction story for a creative writing class. My teacher encouraged me to continue to develop Ansley's character. I thought of myself as a young girl wanting love at 15-16 yrs old and Ansley's character developed. It was my obje ...more

One thing I love about this story is how real the characters feel from beginning to end. The author not only captures all of Ansley's young teenage angst but also is able to capture the emotional turmoil that surrounds Ansley and how this has taken precedent into her life. I enjoyed this story and am giving it 3.5 stars. It's a charming small town romance that doesn't downplay the very real issues that come with emotional trauma. They deal with REAL problems and communicate in a realistic fashion. Ms Henry is clearly a very talented author and I can't see what other works she comes out with in the future:)

Growing up in Florida Elle was always called the girl with a book and told often she looked like a "Librarian", because of her glasses and studious look. This suited her just fine; reading was a favorite pastime shared with her grandmother who also shared a joy of the written word. Although, Elle grew later into a lover of poetry and British Literature enjoying the works of Emily Bronte, Thomas Ha ...more
