*3.5 stars* This was a pretty good read. I think it's difficult to get a good suspense into a novella but the author did it well in this one. Duncan and Lizzy, friends and soon to be business partners, find themselves suspects in the recent death of Duncan's ex wife. As they try to find a way to clear their names, Duncan knows he'll do anything to keep Lizzy safe. Secretly in love with her for as long as he can remember, he hopes that this time they spend together will help her see him different

This is a short read and is part of a series of Woman in Vegas books. I think reading each of them helps the reader understand the story better, but I don’t think it’s necessary. It was inferred that characters that were mentioned in this book were characters from the previous book. The author gave enough information so that the reader can understand what happened before in order to understand what’s hap ...more

Sin and the Millionaire is a quick read that packs quite a punch for a novella. Duncan is the cute, hotly cute nerd with supreme shyness issues. He’s in the process of getting a divorce from a woman who married him only for what she could get out of him. He’s been in love with Lizzie for a while now, but hasn’t acted on it — yet.
Lizzie has known desperation and loss, but it hasn’t changed her core personality. When a now ex had taken her small lottery winnings and ru ...more

I am a big mystery fan, and I looked forward to the story. This one was simply okay. I felt it needed a more distinct identity. Is it a mystery/suspense with romantic elements? Or is it a romance with some suspenseful elements? Even that being said, I would likely have given this a four if it did require closer editing. [Note: This book was not self-published. It came from Lyrical Press.]

I had read the first in this series and liked it. Even though Sin and the Millionaire by Lucy Farago seemed right much of a quicker read, I enjoyed it much more. From the beginning of this story I found the two main characters Lizzy and Duncan charmingly guileless in their relationship. Both had been hurt in the past but still believed the best about each other. How could you not root for these two to clear their names and find love with each other at the same time.

Lucy Farago knows there is nothing like a happy sigh at the end of a good book. With the encouragement of her loving husband, she wrote her first manuscript. An unpublished historical, it sits in a file on her computer, there to remind her how much fun she had learning the craft and becoming part of an industry whose books make you believe anything is possible. A big fan of Agatha Christie, she se
