She thought she would beat the storm... But she hadn't and she was terrified. Ashley Ames had just managed to get Rita and Tony to shelter when the hurricane hit. Even if the children survived unhurt, Marc Perone would never forgive her for exposing them to danger. He would never know how much she had come to love him - and Windsong. Suddenly she remembered the legend behind the house. She would sing to the children to calm them, just as their ancestors had done with their children, years ago when the first hurricane hit.
Why is it every time I love a book and the writing I find out the author has like 0 or 1 other book 😭it happens every time and then I hate a book and the author has like 100 books lol. I loved this book, I really liked the 2 main characters Ashley and Marc, their relationship development was perfect and the Florida setting was lovely. It was a simple story but beautiful. I especially loved the ending, they talked a few times in the book about the story of Marc's ancestor whose wife loved him so much she travelled half way around the world barefoot to get to him and so at their wedding at the end, Ashley takes her shoes off and throws them into the water as she walks down the aisle to him as the barefoot bride, I loved it! A perfect ending.
