Sarah Courtauld is one of the best children's book writers around, she makes it so easy for a parent to read the story to the kid. The characters seem to have a natural voice, there is plenty of screaming, shouting, arm waving and laughing to do. It's a sign of a good book when my daughter gets the "uncontrollable giggles"

The book is well illustrated again with pencil drawings, some full page ones and lots of little ones dotted throughout the book.

Sarah Courtauld lives in London and writes and illustrates funny books for children. Her favourite children's writers are Andy Stanton, Roald Dahl, Tove Jansson, J Meade Falkner and Lemony Snicket, although her all time favourite children's book is The Princess Bride.
