I love tea! And this book was a lot of fun. There was a lot of interesting history, explaining different types of tea and how best to serve them. There was a story of the legend of the Willow Plate pattern china which is so popular. And BEAUTIFUL watercolor illustrations!

Then of course, some great recipes -- it is a cookbook after all.

My favorites to try: Elegant Sugar Thins, Banana sandwiches, Cherry cake, Bengal Sandwiches and Cold Spiced Tea

A beautifully illustrated collection of recipes for tea parties, complete with beverages and food. It also has interesting history of tea, tea sets/dishes, and the designers of specific dish collections! descriptions of tea and how to serve them. I especially loved the illustrated story of how the Blue Willow design came to be. Recommend for any lover of tea!

There is a menu for each tea, with recipes and watercolour illustrations depicting rea ...more
